What did the Watchtower Soceity REALLY say about 1975?
by Elsewhere inwell, read for yourself!.
click here to download the oct 8th, 1968 awake!
magazine that talks about the year 1975.

The "news" reports from the Awake issues in the 1970 bound volume are a cacophany of "the world cannot last till the end of the decade".
Farking dooms day cultists when all is said and done.

We probably shouldn't wrestle with pigs. All you get is dirty and the pigs like it.

I have a strong suspicion that I would kick your ass if I ever met you. Not to worry though because I don't hang out with dicks.

My District Convention Last Weekend
by rassillon inwell, iast weekend was my dc.
it was at the merrell center in katy tx.. for those of you not in this district, this is the one which encompasses the houston, texas area.

My DC was in N. Atlanta this year; a short EIGHT FARKING HOUR DRIVE FROM HERE!
It would have been 45 minutes away but a renegade freak CO who just got removed split my book study with a congregation way over there.
An Elder was "kind" enough to drop off a CD recording of the big event for those like me who missed it. You knew that was coming, right?

JW's going door to door in poor neighborhoods
by Wordly Andre ini'm not sure if its just me, but i've noticed that every time i drive through the "ghetto part of my city" ok maybe ghetto is a poor choice of words but poor neighborhood, i always see jw's out in the streets.
i live in the same city only in the better part and i hardly ever see jw's on my street?
not that i am complaining about it but, i was thinking do they target lower income families, or in their eyes uneducated people for their ministry?
-
MinisterAmos
Of course they target uneducated and poor people. The Elders say that those are more "humble" and easier to impress.
My congo is in the process of witnessing big time at the local state prison. There were as many "atendees" at the memorial in prison as there were at the hall.
It's pretty funny to look at the congo directory and see all those with XXXX correctional facility as their mailing address. Now that's a REALLY good plan.

I'd do 'em like Jews do Hizbollah!
Fat chance though; Mexican Dub girls are harder to hit than a Nolan Ryan slider.
BTW this article is giving WAY too much credit to the Org for the migration, and none to the fact that the labor market for un-skilled and semi-skilled laborers is RED-hot after the hurricanes.
Gringo doesn't like to get his hands dirty so someone else picks up the slack

Please help - convention info
by unbrainwashed ini decided to skip the convention for the first time this year.
i have been telling everyone in my congregation that i went but just didn't see them there.
a few nosey individuals are getting suspicious and they are trying to find out if i really went or not.
-

Just say you are thrilled about the new resolution and why didn't they address the demon of pornography sooner?
The best convention yet! should work well for you.

Instant Karma's gonna get you (just like it did this PO)
by MinisterAmos inso thing's are going well in dubland and the call comes down that my bookstudy is to be moved to a different congo.
instead of a 30 minute ride to the hall we will be forming a new congo and use the hall only five minutes from my home.. great because gas has just gone to $3.00 per gallon right?.
we meet the new po and he breaks the real news.

So thing's are going well in DubLand and the call comes down that my bookstudy is to be moved to a different congo. Instead of a 30 minute ride to the hall we will be forming a new congo and use the hall only five minutes from my home.
Great because gas has just gone to $3.00 per gallon right?
We meet the new PO and he breaks the real news. We will book study in the new hall and have school and every other Sunday in HIS hall which is over an HOUR and a HALF from my house. WTF? He explains that well it is tough and too bad. (Verbatim) Any "Special" events like CO or DO visits and the Memorial will be held at the new hall and the conventions will be in ATLANTA over 8 hours away rather than 1 1/2 hours as they used to be. Too bad right?
It turns out the PO has four daughters all of whom are DF'ed. Can anyone imagine why? He is married, and his wife is suffering from terminal cancer. They will of course not seek treatment for reasons biblical and financial. Carpet cleaners don't earn big bucks. Rather than spend time with her he accepts more assignments like leading a language class for the Org. Since he is so busy the call goes out to the sisters to cook, clean, wash and run errands for him. The congo jumps at the chance to help one of the anointed remainder. Remember that his daughters are all DF'ed? They are not permitted to even speak with their dying mother.
Turn out PO comes down with apendicitis and is now in the hospital. His wife can't visit because she is too ill to drive. Sisters can't visit because they are tied up caring for his wife. Daughters can't visit because they are DF'ed. Elders can't visit because they have even less time because now they have to do his job as well. I won't visit because he is an insufferable ass.
Must suck to be alone but I'd say being a Pharisee and super-fine Apostle really does have a down side.
