  Hell yes it's abusive. The US military uses sleep deprivation as an offensive weapon, it works the same way in this case by making the children more succeptible to suggestion.

  This was a favorite technique of the Moonies when they were aggressively recruiting and before all the lawsuits.

  i hadnt been to a d.c. in about 10 years is it really true that congragations have to sit together now????

  whats up with that is it so that the elders can see who's there and who isnt.

  that would blow my scam from way back when i would maybe make one half of one day and tell people i made all 4 days.

  No, there is no requirement that peoples sit together. Some congregations asked rank-and-file to sit in a section that they
  had to clean or something like that. But that was never instructions from Mother.

  Almost right. If your congo has the "pleasure" of hosting the WT study, then select participants (read the Super Sisters and well-coached R&F) will be ordered instructed to sit in the front row.

  Otherwise congoes are usually (in my experience) asked to sit where they clean.

  Looking for GOLDEN AGE mags 1925-1930

  i'm trying to find copies of the golden age, specifically from the years 1925-1930. there seems to have been some really outrageous stuff published during those years, which i would like to be able to verify.

  i found this site which has links to high-quality scans of most issues, but the 1925-1930 period is missing.

  if anyone has copies (electronic or otherwise), or knows where to find some, please contact me!

  i haven't been posting for about 2 weeks, just kinda lurking, reading other posts, but not participating because i started to feel like i had nothing interesting to add, my life experiences, personal issues were just not very interesting to others on the forum, i felt.. i also started reading coc as well as reading old posts and reviewing the links from "old timer" jwd members.

  see, i never got deep into this cult, 18 years from birth to end and i was outta there!!

  i never pioneered, never had the ms or elder husband, although i dated a ms, he was only 19 early 20's at best (i was only 16) but that didn't last.

  i remember last year, a lot of blame against the republican congress for doing nothing to stop big oil companies from raising prices.

  democrats are in office now, and no one seems to be saying anything.

  why are the democrats not being the night and shinning armor about gas prices?.

  If this is of any comfort we already pay it about 1.3 euros/liter which is currently over 6.7 dollars/gallon.

  Yes BUT you also have the opportunity to buy cars that are more fuel efficient than can be purchased in the US due to our more stringent pollution laws. Public transport is virtually non-extant here as well. Walking is forbidden as well.

  I heard an interesting public talk recently that described how angels hover over Witnesses who are in the field, and take notes about homeowner's reactions, then give them to God.

  A "home but won't answer" written on the territory sheet was described as being a sure trip to Gehena, I guess a way to empower the poor JWs who generally feel pretty miserable in the field service.
