  i am furious, i have a 1700 square foot house with all new appliances including a new air conditioning system by trane.

  what was my bill for june?

  ($400.00) this is beyond belief.

  Went to a witness party....oh, excuse me, "gathering" over the weekend.....

  the mrs. and i were invited to a "gathering" this weekend.

  was just supposed to be some friends getting together for some food and fellowship.

  when we arrived, there were a bunch of jw's in the back yard(50 to 100) and the music was pumping loud(not that i minded{smile}).

  I found that the key to having fun at one of these is to make sure the "Super Sister" (the one who happily calls for Bible charades) is NOT invited.

  I wish I had taken fotos of the wet T-Shirted Dubettes at my last nasty pool party.

  Super Sister was out-of-town visiting her brother in law at Bethel. I could have told her to wait because I had a feeling he was on the boot list and guess what?

  He was at book study last week!

  ........................at my last meeting, the elder was talking about 1975 and said "it never happened, it is appostates using a time when (some) brothers took the info in the wt wrong"...................i just blinked and finally woke up.. i had been on this site lurking for a couple of weeks, and realized thing werent right, but to have some creep say on the platform " it didnt happen"............when this ruined my and my siblings childhood, just made me snap.

  on the way home, i told my hubby "that was the last meeting im going to"................boy was he pleased.. .

  so if you didnt get df ......................what happened at your last meeting.?.

  My almost last meeting was the WT study that described the Mennonites as despicable because (and only because) they shunned a young couple who began studying with the Dubz.

  Yes and sometimes.

  Let me explain: Think about your most personal relationships. Do you always address you husband or wife by their given names? Do you always address you parents by their given names? Kids? Pets? etc?

  I really find the JW's less genuine for always using the name "Jehovah" than if they mixed it up a bit. Their sincere (oh so contrived and disingenuous at times) prayers are not consistant with heartfelt conversation with a loved one.

  I didn't count 'em up until now, but I bet I addressed by daughter by at least six different names/titles today. All variations on her name, daughter, sprout, cute names etc. I'm pretty sure I used at least that many for my wife and probably three or four for my cat.

  I love them all and my perceptions and feeling for the change during the day. Ditto my feelings for God.

  Anyone who claims their love is unchanging is a darn liar.

  one of the bridging plot sequences is the indoctrination of some young pakistanis into alquedah or a similar group.. i was shocked at the similarities between their introduction to the moslem religion (love bombing, long studies etc) and the way dubs are sucked in.. both use the same tactics and withhold a great deal of info until the person is thought to be "ready".. watch it with an open mind and try not to let my suggestions influence you, and then report your experience!

  Of course it's reliable; just ask someone in a "hot" area like Key Biscayne, FL about the house they paid $50,000 for in 1975 that is now valued at $2Million+.

  This was not a reminder to stay simple, it is a gentle order. Don't Buy! Keep Renting! Comply! Obey!

  First, even in 1975 real estate was recognized as THE prime investment. WTBS recognized this as well considering that they have been buying steadily and not renting KH's.

  Why then the outright lie to discourage ownership? I can think of several reasons beyond the obvious: that of having more donation money.

  If Dubz are kept from property ownership (and penniless in old-age) they are more vulnerable to manipulation by the Org. The Org fully understands the benefits of ownership particularly as we see real estate prices climbing ever higher. They also know about "reverse-mortgages" which allow oldsters to remain in their house while the buyer pays out the purchase price as an annuity. This would have been a great way to keep those older Dubz out of the gutter.

  The Org is only thinking of itself and to heck with the R&F. If the Org needs Dubz to fill a new Congo it is harder for renters to find excuses than for owners. I have witnessed this many times in my short association with the Dubz.

  Add this to the other ways they suck members dry and the Org is exposed as the monster it is.

  That's one side of it, the "cool" phase of adolesence which brings the smoking, groping and that kind of fun stuff. I wouldn't even call it immaturity, more like boundary checking.

  The scary part is that baptism without a doubt cuts short the maturing process in that the complex thought process that intelligent and maure individuals use is discouraged by the WTBS.

  By training the youth to not examine what is claimed to be the most important aspect of their lives the WTBS literally locks them into an early-state or pre-adolescent mind set for their entire lives.

  i called the information dept politely asking if mr brown was still a witness after commiting verbal apostasy during the interview with ldh.. i got transferred to one of their legal staff and he dropped the "f" bomb and hung up!

  i on the other hand was a complete gentleman.. i would call this a golden opportunity to play up what has to be one of the most embarrasing moments for the dub leadership but is actually an important issue that any current dubz should be concerned about.

  what is the actual policy of the org?

  No, LDH, I am insinuating that a spokesman for the legal department would not cuss in a conversation he had good reason to believe was being recorded.

  I'll forgive your IGNORANCE of telecommunication laws because Brits tend to be somewhat, um, uninformed of such things. Your country's lack of laws for advocating personal privacy and a Bill of Rights or Constitution would tend to make you suspicious of those who take such things for granted. How sad for you! I guess having your every movement recorded by Government cameras like they are in your country kind of makes one less appreciative of privacy. How Orwellian!

  This issue is addressed by various federal laws. It is illegal for even the FBI to record private personal communications without at least one party being aware of it barring obtaining a search warrant from a judge.

  Had you bothered to listen to LDH's recording, you would have heard a sound recurring every 10 seconds or so. This is a further privacy safe-guard that we enjoy here which informs BOTH parties that there is a recording device capturing the conversation.

  Mr. "Spokesman" (again they were loathe to give names) was thus well aware there was no recorder and able to act his frat-boy self.

  That's because they are SPIRIT DIRECTED! Poster, for the real action you need to call Brown's frat-boy office mates and ask your pointed questions there. http://www.jw-media.org/contact.htm Brown (btw) denied that Dubz are either directed or inspired. He also affirmed that people of other religions will be saved at Armeggedon. Read the transcript. I don't think Brown is a big-shot in the religion, meaning that I think he is only an elder but he is certainly a big-shot in the Corp. and that alone makes him more important than anyone else. Any Dub in the rank-and-file who claimed this would be instantly in front of a JC. Any baptismal candidate would be refused baptism for saying this. Brown with his many years in Dubdom will just blithely shrug it off. This by itself makes me absolutely certain that the vile things we have heard about child molestation cover-ups really do occur. It's right in front of us folks!
