I can't believe they shunned me...
by Smoky inhave any of you ever feel abandoned by "friends" because you dont associate (congregate) with them anymore?
there is a couple of 'friends' that i haven't talked to for about a year, (because i dont go to the meetings).
i dont have anything against them or the congregation.

Depression Therpy

i am thinking of going back into just "therepy" but my question is do jws beleive in therepy?
im not a jw but i do read and beleive the jw way.

Just an update: I called around to find a diffrent therepist than I had before--the one I had before we connected well, but right before I gave up going , it would be interuption after interuption during my sessions-one time I went there and she was making a call to anouther patients insurance company and used up most of my time on the phone. Anouther time I was in session and her co-worker friend came in and would do a little chit chat, in Russian for about 6 minutes. So I got discouraged and gave up.. I feel emabrassed to go back to the same place and she is there and have a diffrent therepist, I know it happens but I feel funny. And I know she will make me feel awkward. My insurance co is going to call me back with a new place(I think).
Dont think Ill do the meds yet unless I can be asured Im not going to have terrible side effects. before when I was on Wellbutrin, Id be on a bus going somwhere when it was like 50 degrees out and Id be sweating like a maniac. Actual sweat beads running down my face.And it would happen suddenly. That alone is enough to bring up the anxiety that everyone is staring at you.

I was just reading that link you gave me Joel , is it possible that Jehovahs go after people that have depression issues? Cause when I first start talking to some door knockers I told them I was not doing good and having depression issues and things of that order, and they were very sympathetic and called me regulary, I had Bible study at my house, I went to Hall -. I had constant contact with a JW friend up till about 2 months ago I cut off contact because of my son at the time(he was very annoyed with organized religion) I didnt want him causing a scene if my JW friend came by unannounced.
But anyhow I was just curious about that -IF they seek weak persons.

well Im gonna read that -dont wanna go crazy any more than I already am. I do have anxiety issues, there has to be something they can give me that wont either wack me out or make me sweat like an animal.

who prescribed you meds?
I went to a pshyc for my meds, he had trouble giving me something because I am allergic to many or get the side effects real bad. I did have neurontin, and Temazapam for sleep but again the neurontin started to cause swelling of my joints and I gave it up. I was good for a long time, but now slippin again. I am going to go back to therepy.
I dont know what possesed me into thinking that just spiritual healing would help. I guess I was lookin for a non-medicational method. Ive even had a Baptist tell me that If I followed her way I would be better. Thats when I thought well if Baptists can be healed from the Bible so can a Jehovah believer.

Thank you for all your support!! and the welcome to the board. It is most helpful. I was on meds while back, but they give me all kinds of side effects especially the SSR's -I get intense sweating, and they make me feel worse sometimes. I thought if I try spiritual therepy it could help. I was going to go back to Hall and seek my friend for some help but , as I have read The elders are not qualified in psychology, although I thought they had to take thoes kinds of classes or related subjects as other ministers do.
Im not currently actively involved in going to Hall at this time. But I know several people from going there when I did few months back.

I think my cat is EVIL....
by lola28 inokay i have a problem and it is called jacob my cat.
we found him a few months ago ( he was a stray and my mom brought him home) and the first day he was fine but over the last two months his behavior has gotten really bad.
he has developed the habit of biting (hard) and he also scrathes you for no reason.

Hi im new this forum and I have to add--Devinsmom that is terrible! I hope that cat did not puncture your babys skin.
I have a evil cat she is 11 years old, a calico, when I got her she was loving to a point-but then as years went on my kids moved with thier Father, Her attitude changed she got more Un-loving. Then 5 years back my Mother passed and now she is a complete witch. She bit me 2 times really bad punctured my foot deep with her teeth. Now and again she tries to intentionally bite me--I spray bottle her. she tries to sit on purpose right where I have to walk, or she will on purpose put out her tail so you almost tread on it--then try to bite. she has no nails in the front but learned to use her chompers.
I do want to get rid of her but if I take her to the pound they will kill her because she is nasty. Plus she is not fixed, never bothered. I think that might be part of the problem. Cat bites can be very serious, I know a woman who was scratched by a cat and died later of an inffection from it. here is my cat.
