i am a newbie here- but have been reading a lot of the ex jw boards and websites for a while as a newly minted evil apostate :).

so i remember hearing -here or somewhere else, i can't remember, that tonight at the "theocratic ministry school" or "kingdom ministry school" (???

aah- i can't even remember if that is the name - i haven't gone to a meeting in ~ 4 years or so) they are going over some new information on the blood issue.

Anyone See The Body Worlds Exhibit?

this weekend i saw the body worlds 2 exhibit in toronto.

for those of you who aren't familiar with it, the exhibit features dead bodies of humans and animals.

using a process called plastination the specimens are preserved.

freedomlover, if you're anywhere near Philadelphia the exhibit is running at the Franklin Institute till around April, I believe. Tickets have been a little difficult to get, so best to get a request in early. Hope you get to see it!

I saw it at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia and want to to back, this time with my son. It's an amazing exhibit ... I think everyone should see it to gain appreciation of the human body.

Skyman, it's not so much that people are dumb -- their minds are being controlled. The information they believe to be truth was programmed immediately following the attacks and in the days that followed, mostly from TV, when they were in shock and their minds were most susceptible to receiving the information without consciously processing it. Their minds have now locked in that information and de-programming them requires lengthy and intense work.

Many eyewitnesses and survivors who were not watching TV continuously during and after the 9/11 events received and processed the information reported by the media quite differently. But the ones planning and committing the attacks knew that survivors would be so traumatized that they may not ever fully remember details, and even then, our stories could be discounted and blamed on shock and trauma.

Many eyewitnesses and survivors have simply given up trying to convince an unbelieving public of the truth of 9/11 so they can mourn their dead loved ones and get on with their lives. Others, mostly site workers, have died or are dying from toxic exposure. Some have been quieted by the government with money or positions. For others, like me, it has taken this long to fully come to terms and speak out about it.

It's not that everyone is stupid, their minds have been filled with the lies of a government exploiting their vulnerabilities. Yes, some will hide from the truth, out of fear -- the fear instilled in them by their own government. They have had no control over it, please have patience and help them open their minds.

In love with a JW, HELP!!!

14 years ago i was a sophomore in high school and fell head over heels for a senior (we'll call him mike) who wasn't really in to me.

i was raised catholic and he, a jw.

i wrote him lots of notes, sent him teddy bears and tried to win his heart.

I'm with Clam... you will find your own answers. Though sometimes it does help to get your thoughts out there for discussion.

I would only add -- if you truly do love this man, you would not cause unhappiness to him or his wife. It's not your place to judge his happiness. And it's wrong to hurt others through your own selfish desires. Where do your own husband and children stand in all this... will you just throw them away for your personal conquest of another man? If you love this other man, you wouldn't hurt him by expecting him give up his wife or his religion. I'd encourage you to look into your own heart and see the effect of your actions on others. I hope you'll do what I think is the right thing -- find and fix whatever's wrong with your own life that's causing you to have thoughts that would hurt others.
