Mine was to be New York Times Bestsellar by 21.
But when I was young and dumb it was to become a secretary and regular pioneer.
being a professional baseball player.
i ended up being a professional golfer and teacher, one of the few hats i wear.
as a kid i lived for sports everything else was secondary, i love competition, in competition winning and losing is part of the game, it's a given.

btw, this is one of my better questions imho).
u mean a whole new face?? that's just creepy/ kinda like that show MADE on MTV where people try to look like there fave celebrity. i would maybe make my nose a lil smaller but those r the things that make each of us special!
i know, cheesy but its true!
bruce almighty- the whole premise of the movie is that the majority of the things we ask god for are things that we ourselves can look into our own hearts and make happen for ourselves.
i debated this movie with a friend.
he insists that god wants us to pray to him no matter what it is and that the scenes in the movie showing jim carrey being overwhelmed by all the "prayers" being asked of him is false.
LOVE THAT ONE!
i am about to enter my second semester in college and sure i know: i've got time to decide what i want to do as far as a major goes, but my school is converting into a brand new college by fall of 06 and they are urging those who are there now to hurry up and finish asap since transfering credits and such will soon get tricky once the new college is established.
my counselor says not to worry.
i still have until about the fall of 07' but i still feel i am in the dark.. what did you major in college or what is your major now?
In response to Kid-A: I have always thought about doing something in the front offices of a nursing home. My mom is a nurse and she's always complained about the administrators and how "they come in from 9-3 just to make phone calls and write out activites for the residents while we gotta clean up poop and give out meds from 3-11) that had me thinking hmmm, sounds good to me!
I suppose anything in an executive type envir would require a bachelor's right?

So I wonder, is this true? Do you think God ever gets overwhelmed by our prayers and that may be why it may take longer for them to be ansewred? But he's Almighty God right???! So what is his motive in making us wait? Is there a waiting list established in heaven we don't know about????
And I liked the whole role of Morgan Freeman playing God and actually having a personality and dare I say? A sense of humor?!
Do you think God has a personality or is he a 'Jealous, raging God' like the WT makes us believe?
.
i don't know if any of you brits saw the 'this morning' show today but they had a woman on it whos mother had tried to abort her at 7 and a half months pregnant, apparentely they gave her mum some stuff to drink which burns the baby inside and out, but fortunately this baby survived and now as a woman she is campaigning for anti abortion laws to be brought in.. so, what are your views on abortion?
i think its easy for a person to simply choose pro or con but its a different story when you actually go through with it.
Suddenly, "right" and "wrong" aren't so black and white walking out of that clinic.
what was the most shocking news you have ever heard ?.
for example: jfk assassinated in dallas!.
elvis found dead in bathroom!.
Its not the most I have ever heard but I was shocked:
Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson SPLIT!
Sure its Hollywood but still-the girl was a virgin people! She did everything by the Book and still didn't "live happily ever after???"
What hope is there for love?!
voletta walace-mother of the notorius b-i-g aka: biggie smalls has wrote a new book about her life and her son.
so, i am listening to her radio interview and she decribes how she lives a very simple life-simple home, drives an acura, hardly goes into the city (hmmm, sounds like a loyal jw to me!
) and when asked how she reacts when people recognize her on the street but can't seem to place her face?

What did you major in college or what is your major now?
It seems like so many people go to college with all these fancy majors like: Psychology, International Buisness etc but end up doing something completely different once they leave? Why is that? Is that normal?
The 3 areas I see myself in are maybe: writing,(though I have been told a major in creative writing won't bring home a paycheck) working in something in buisness, maybe marketing?? Working in a nursing home as a nutritionist? supervisor of patients?
Should I pick something specific like Marketing or more broad like: Buisness Administration?
Is a Masters really necessasry?
What about a 2 year? (As you know that is what my parents are expecting. I don't know if they'll be too happy if I decide to transfer.)
All these life-changing decisions to be made. How can people possibly keep telling me: "Don't worry?"
my brother is a self proclaimed apostate.
i see now that there is a wide variety of posters here.
so to those that have left the witnesses what would it take to get you back?
Another point to realize LEFTBEHIND is that not all of us have "left" yet. I'm 22, grew up in the organization and nobody-NO internet site, no so called 'apostates' or 'bad associations' like the WT will make me believe pursued me into questioning the so-called 'truth' I did it ON MY OWN. My heart was screaming out to me that something was not right-things were just off, and I was only 17. And once I started asking the right questions (the ones the elders were not able to ansewr) suddenly I am labeled in the con. as having "independant thinking???" Well, at 22 independant sounds mighty alright with me!
The society will make you believe that everyone who has gone astray are acoholics, drunks, inactive, etc. I've pioneered every summer since I've gotten baptized, I can say comments "in my own words" like the best of them. I can write out a talk under 30 minutes. We're all one in the same.
