we've all hurt people at one time or another.
some may have managed to keep it to the "made me feel bad" level, but others of us have hurt people severely.
this has almost surely been true down through the ages.. sometimes the people we hurt can't be asked for forgiveness.
I think that may be another reason why the invention of God has remained. I think primarily he was invented to control the masses of people.
This reminded me of an argument that people use to still justify believing in a God. Free will. When people ask ... why does God allow this or that? Why does God not intervene? etc. Their answer? Because God "granted" us free will! Yeah right! That is just a cop-out answer to justify them still believing in an imaginary being who does NOTHING!

I bought this sticker after I left. I had a hard time letting go of the guilt! I couldn't understand why I had a hard time leaving "mentally" even after leaving physically. Then I found this sticker! It is amazing the power that a group of stupid people can have over one person. It still makes me laugh! Those people look so much like JWs posing for a District Convention photograph!

i knew i was a little odd, when i noticed it was only me who seemed to read magazines, starting at the back and working my way to the front.. but the other day, i realized when on this forum, that i always start at the bottom of the page of topics and work my way up to the top!!!!!!!!!.
i know strange but true.

Is she planning on taking your advice and pursuing education?
She has yet to take my advice on this. She was an A-B student and she was even in the gifted program at her school, now she is failing and will likely NOT be a senior next year. Like I said she is digging her hole deeper. I is giving me lip service that she realized that now and "she'll do better" but I will not believe it until I see it. There are just too many other factors that enter into the equation. I wrote a little more about her situation if you want to read it on this thread:

I have so much more to say, but I don't have time!
I know I need to tread carefully or they will cut off association, which I why I continually reassure them that I have not and will not persuade or encourage her to leave, only "vent" etc. I do try to give her hope, though, but at this age she cannot see beyond what is 10 feet in front of her. My neice will need to realize that will have to step up to the plate and take charge of her own future no matter what it is.
