  How many JWs does it take to change a lightbulb?

  "they don't need to change their lightbulb because their light just keeps getting brighter and brighter!

  as told by jw sister tonight to the rest of my jw family.

  I suppose there are many punchlines, but the one I like the most is ...

  None ... they like to stay in the dark.

  Then there's ...

  Twelve. They all live in Brooklyn, and they have to keep changing it every day for "new light."

  Also ...

  Three. One to screw in the bulb, and two to knock on your door and twll you about the new light.

  And ...

  None. They're always getting "new light" from Brooklyn.

  Another favorite ...

  I don't know - I didn't let them in to find out.

  Last, but not least ...

  It takes as many as The Watchtower says it takes!

I wanted to hurl! I started to tell them that it was not the proper punch line, but I decided to keep my mouth shut! (I'm chicken!)

  The Worst Public Talk Ever

  what was the absolute worst pt you had to sit thru?.

  i was thinking that for me the worst outline is "get a firm hold on the real life".

  yes a life constricted by endless and ever changing rules, burdened by guilt, fear and obligation, and all the while hoping for an empty promise has got to be the "real life"

  The worst public talk ever?

  This really old brother read the ENTIRE lyrics to "Wake Up Little Susie" to illustrate how today's music is debasing ... and this was in the late 1980s!!!!!!!!!!

  It was painful and hilarious at the same time.

  It was a defnitely a cult from the beginning ... before Rutherford took over. Rutherford just gave it a different flavor ... and made it worse.

  Russell was crazy, but Rutherford was two kinds of crazy!

  How many generations of yours were lemmings?

  i was a forth generation witness.

  my great-great grandmother came in near her death when she and my great grandmother lived in new york and would go to rutherford's talks.

  then my grandmother got baptized in her late 20's and went inactive.

  I was a third generation witness. My poor little neices and nephews are fourth generation. If they have kids and raise them as witnesses, I will know for sure that there is no god!
