we have developed and produced hit content for tlc, discovery, and travel channel among many others.
Assuming this is legit, I don't think TLC will care about our cause or presenting ex-JWs in a normal, positive light. TV shows like TLC produces, thrive on sensationalism. They will find the craziest crazies, follow them around with a camera for a day or two, and everyone will watch it, not because it is a success story, but because it is so RIDICULOUS! And the world will think this is what all ex-JWs are like.
This is my biggest fear.

I have no idea who Rick or the Fearsons are (although I am not impressed with what I have seen of Six Screens online).
I just know that the people who usually step up front first on these kinds of things are not the kind of people I want representing ex-JWs.
If they get someone on there who starts talking about how the JWs bury subliminal messages in their art work, I will bury my head and cry.
Also, it is very off-putting to see other ex-JWs try to promote themselves or their new "ex-JW organization" by appearing to be the main and only contact point for the project.

a few months ago i posted about the dilemna i was facing with my girlfriend and getting reinstated.
a little under a year ago, both of us were disfellowshipped for sexual immorality.
while it was difficult, we promised to stick together through it, work our way toward marraige, and eventually return.
I hate to say this, but you're better off. I could never be married to a JW.
