as usual, you guys are prompting memories of long ago stuff, and i gotta tell you the nastiest ppl i rememnber were in out own congregation. we had a family that came from up north that lived in this ramshackeled house/camptrailer/put/together thing that passed for a house and they had 4 kids and 2 of the 4 were complete 500+ lbs gluttons such that they could not get through the THURS NITE MEETING W/O BRINGING TWO SANDWICHES TO TIDE THEM OVER I KID YOU NOT. IN THEIR SUIT JACKETS.I THOUGHT I CUT OFF sorry about the caps but this is true i witnessed it. do you know how funny tht was? how come gluttony isn't punishable? but , sadly they are both dead now, at an early age. don't even ask me about their house.

What was the nastiest house you got invited into?
by Virgochik inwe actually has a study with a disabled elderly couple living in a trailor.
it was wall to wall filth, rat infested and smelled awful.
i was a child, but mom and dad brought me along anyway.

the purpose of this forum is to convince those of us who are out of the cult and suffer from MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder) a well known by-product of the cult, to get our sh** together without drugs or hospitalisation. how do you spell that? i forgot. must be the other personality that is the expert speller; thought it was me. oh and if you guys go to my profile, the pic is of my 13 year old son and we can't get it to go off. but he's pretty cute, huh?

Did you "cry" when the JW's elders Disfellowshipped or Disassociated you?
by booker-t inmy niece who is 19 and involved with a "married" man had to meet with her jw's elders last week.
she was terrified because the elders have told her time and time again to get rid of her "married" boyfriend but she refused.
she is head over heels in love with the guy.

Another question about JW
by Shazard inas i never been jw i can't understand why some of you bother writing some letters.
if being in wt is not legaly binding (as i understood that baptism is not legaly binding), then who cares about writing.
just stop going to kh and that's all.

hi everyone this subject is so interesting because it actually was one of the first "doubts" i had when i was a kid in the sixties. whenever we had someone visit our congregation from the west coast i immediately noticed they didn't do things like hair length and skirt length, etc. like we did. they were always ALOT more liberal and we were always told that part of being in the "truth" was being exactly alike. the folks i saw would have gotten called to a commitee meeting for the short shirts they wore! i think that is part of why the person from the UK is having difficulty understanding what we have experienced here, especially in the sixties and seventies in the US.
