The Noah's ark : What a nonsense!
by coalize in1. a shitty start we don't have to wait more than 4 verses of genesis 6 to put our feet in a big stinky bullshit :.
consequently, jehovah saw that mans wickedness was great on the earth and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only bad all the time.
jehovah regretted that he had made men on the earth, and his heart was saddened.

Lets see....
So the universe is almost 15 billion years old. Our solar system is almost 5 billion years old. He went through the whole process of experimenting with dinosaurs and all over 100s of millions of years. He finally gets to the point of making a sentient being and within 2000 years he says, "I've completely screwed this whole creation thing up, you all die now." What an wishy washy asshole!

No BGN, I moved back to California because I couldn't stand the rain.
I would guess that unless it was in an accident, your shifter could probably be fixed. Taking it off and dropping it in a solvent tank for a few hours works wonders for clogged up shifters.
As far as places to take your bike, I don't know where you live but one of the best stores I saw was an odd triangle shaped store that was right next to that trail(you could reach out an touch it from the trail) that goes from the locks over to Redmond. It was about a mile east of the college. The other place was also close to the college where they make Rodriquez bikes. From what I observed, I'd never take my bike to a place like Performance or Greggs up there unless you know the mechanic that will be working on it.
This whole thread got me thinking that my prize for 2nd place at the mountain bike national finals bike for the cross country intermediate race in 1990 was the first generation SPD pedals and shoes. Those pedals were ruined in the next year at the Mt. Shasta race where it rained and it turned into slogging through 36 miles of mud. Probably the hardest race I've ever done and it ruined at least $600 of parts.

To add to the OP:
I would like to know from a jw how it isn't a dead religion. It's 2014. It's been a 100 years since 1914. There really isn't even any need to debate 607 bce vs. 587 anymore. The generation is dead (and don't try and sell me the "overlapping" crap). Oh, it might go on for a while, but tell me how despite all their failed dating calculations (that was soooo-soooo important for our everlasting survival), how is it still relevant?

How to capitalise on recent unwise appointment with my wife.
by disposable hero of hypocrisy ina brother was appointed recently in the cong, he's got a dodgy history, doesn't really have the respect of many in the cong.
it's surprising to me, but i don't really care, good for him.
my wife, on the other hand, is angry!

Quite a paradox indeed! He was appointed by holy spirit.....but if he wasn't, we need to wait on jehovah to correct matters.

Welcome, BGN!
Good luck with the upcoming rides. I worked at a repair station on the STP a few years ago and while working at a store up there, did a lot of tune-ups for both those rides.

Isn't the basic E chord shape by definition a power chord?
I play quite a bit. I need to really delve into knowing theory and all. I can play a lot of songs but only because of magazines with tabs.
I love that there are so many videos on youtube either explaining how to play songs, especially those by the guitarist himself. Steve Howe is great to watch. There's one of Jake E Lee showing how people play Bark at the Moon wrong thats a blast to watch (I've been working on that song a lot lately). Jeff Beck showing all his guitars he's used. I didn't know that John 5 is such a telecaster enthusiest.
I bought a Kramer Barretta back in 87 or so that I still have. Bought a American Standard Strat that I eventually sold because it was really not that great. For amps I have a Mesa Boogie .22 and a Gallien Krueger 250ml. Eventually I'd like a Gibson 175es and a Telecaster Hot Rod...eventually.

To me it sounds like you need a Festivus miracle!
Get yourself a Festivus tree, "light brights", etc. and call it good.
