Not a great movie but there was a lot about Ninth Gate that I liked. I watch anything that I feel like now. Things that would have bothered my conscience years ago, doesn't bother me a bit now. Most of the time now if its not rated R, I don't even watch it. Horror isn't my favorite genre but I don't pass it up if it looks good.

Good topic. After thinking about it for all of two seconds, put me down in the nothing column.

And why is it that when one is in an elders meeting, the excuse, "the devil made me do it" never works?

The benefit of JWD
by Lady Lee ini know i have made comments about the benefits of jwd but i have some thoughts about this.. for the person who is having doubts and is looking for some confirmation or information jwd provides a wealth of both.
and if it isn't posted here on the board someone usually has a link to answer questions.
for those who have been hurt by the shunning policy or been abused in some way jwd offers wonderful people who understand because they have "been there" too.. for those who are recently out of the wts and are trying to build a new life there are many to encourage and support them.. even those of us who have been here and out of the wts for a long time there is encouragement and friendship.. for those who love a good debate, there is usually a willing jw to try to take them on.. there are some great sites on the internet that provide information.

Well said, Lady Lee. I read a lot of the topics but do not post a response to them. I have no interest in keeping up an encyclopeadic knowledge of any given topic but love seeing topics by people who do(I'm looking at you Blondie). People though should never underestimate the power of just having fun, its possible that I would still be a witness if I had had more fun. Healing sometimes means more than just having a shoulder to cry on.
