an old jw woman just called me for my sisters phone number.
in the usual chit chat she asked how the meeting were etc.
i said i dont go and that i dont believe it anymore.
I think the sad thing is that the average JW really believes what ya granny said...
Yes I think we do live in "end times" but its amazing how the JW's think they are the only ones preaching and teaching (Math 28:19-20) and the only ones making known the Father.
Our Church as do most churches - make known the name of God and are actively involved in preaching and teaching in one form or another...
Now if only the JW would do the real work that is acceptable to God - James 1:27

i thought of this question as i've been talking to different family members about the situation with my parents and grandmother.
i wondered if they'd get upset by me telling other non-jw family members what was going on.
i recently told a family member in coventry who i'm sure will end up telling my grandmother's sisters.
my wife and I have no family except my sis out of the dubs - so we dont even need to hide it..

i know now that my father feels bad for that, but at the same time he had no choice.
Rebel8 ....yeah - I see the point now thanks for that.....I wasnt trying to disagree just set it straight in my own mind as to why people do this and if its affective. Thats why I question...to set things straight in my own mind.

Dave - I dont think you should say there is no truth in the JDubs...it can confuse people who see that there is some truth and they will think you are wrong.
There is a lot of false teachings but there is also some biblical truth and teachings as well - so just so not to confuse people its not good to say there is NO TRUTH in it - just incase they see some truth and think you are wrong about the bunch of false stuff.
yes I agree - I spose those in their 30's now are the children of the "truth book" era...and see it for what it is - just a man made organization. Not Gods mouth piece.
No my wife didnt want to leave - I got her the 2 books - crisis of conscience and christian freedom...then she wanted out too. Which I was happy about otherwise it would have been way more difficult for me to leave - but of course still would have.

Yes Legolas - most of my family is still in JW's...
My sis is the only one who talks to us - she is out.
We lost our life long friends as well - but I dont feel anger to them I feel sorry for them....It must be hard to be so horrible.
Yes - J.G. I took personal responibility for it - thats why I am still married after 19 years.....and thats why I decided to leave JW's my choice.
No my wife wasnt pregnant Mouthy - we were not allowed to date any more our parents forbid it - so we had to get married as we werent allowed to just move in together before mariage. Mouthy we believed as we still do that sex before marriage is wrong.
