Suggestions for "The Internet" defense ... roadblock?

wanderer reminded me of an answer that i frequently get when confronting dubs with information obtained through the internet.

even if it's a scan of a wts publication, the typical dub seems to be well schooled in refusing to give any credibilty to anything that comes from a website other than watchtower.org.

has anyone had any luck finding more "credible" sources for info?

I bought a lot of older pubs on Ebay when I studied my way out. I have kept the most damaging ones in case I get the opportunity to share it with someone else. Under believer made a good point about the Library at the KH.

Other than that, if its not an original it must be a copy and these days most copies are digital. I was not aware of the Dubs complete unacceptance of digital information from the internet. How odd. Another way of being kept in control and being denied information that is available to the general public. It makes sense because if what you believe is false then you have to hide from the truth. Since the internet is a huge library where statements can be verified as true or false I guess it would be dangerous to the Dubs belief system.

Passive Aggressive Beliefs and Rationalization

my youngest brother just called me, and during our conversation he mentioned that he got a letter from our uber-witness sister.

you know the type, married out of the cult, professional victim, fanatical believer, lives in constant fear the big j will watch her doing something she shouldn't.. my brother is out too, and what he found interesting about the letter, was that it wasn't addressed to him, it was addressed to his wife (his wife and our sister are not friends nor have they had any contact in years).

the letter was to inform her of something business related (for him not her), and didn't even mention my brother.

Those things do send up rd flags but the WTS tells them they're only orange flags so its ok.

Someday we will know, I certainly don't know now. I have to admit it is better this way, I mean to be able to say " I don't know". To no longer need to hide from uncomfortable facts. To freely explore whatever honest research turns up. To be willing to change when new information reveals itself. To boldly go, well you know.

in brief: its supposedly where sometime in the very near future mexico, usa, and canada will come together in a similar manner to the eu.. thoughts?.

Globalization is coming. It only makes sense that regions will converge first to make the best use of their resources. Sort of many mini Globalist societies. There will be much resistance to this. Maybe even wars and revolutions. I myself don't like many aspects of it. For example the United Nations wants a Global Ban on gun ownership. Probably not a bad idea in some areas of the globe but I don't want it here. When globalism is complete we will all have global regulations we have to follow and will lose some of our National individualism.

The upside is global regulations on environmental regulations and weapons developement would be a positive advancement for the human race. What good is it for a country to have strict emmissions regulations if its neighbor doesn't. What if a country has strict water pollution control but their neighbor upriver does not.The world is getting smaller and flatter. What we do now affects everyone so we would do well to regulate our actions globally.

I loosely see it as a Global United States. Countries have their own governments and many of their owns regulations just as States do. The Global government would have regulations that trump any individual nations laws just as the US federal laws trump state laws.For example if a State says it is legal to smoke Marijuana and sells it in vending machines the federal government could still arrest you for buying it. And probably would.

So stock up on your guns and pot and get ready cause the UNs coming. Just kidding. About the pot. I think.

Extraterrestrials "creating" humans by using genetic engineering and then having a relationship with them for thousands of years would explain alot of ancient tales. I just wonder why they left. Even in the Biblical accounts the Israelites went to war with Jehovah flying above them shooting "fiery" missles at the enemy. Of course he was riding in a "thick cloud". Then suddenly this type of interaction stops. They left. No more Jehovah and Angels riding on "clouds", hovering over Israel, coming down to earth, walking around and making themselves clearly visible. People joke about little green men but wasn't it Jacob who saw an Angel from a distance and ran and tackled him. It must have looked different than a human being in an obvious way.

The fact is the Bible writers and others described beings, who had bodies, and rode in vehicles coming down to earth. These beings were so much more advanced then they were because, if true, these being are far more advanced than we are. So it is not shameful to worship them. In fact if they created humans they deserve worship and in fact seem to demand it.

I don't see how this would be blasphemous to God. I don't think anyone knows who God is or what God is. People just have strong ideas based on interpretations of their religious faiths.

Witnesses think God is a spirit and explain that wherever the Bible says Jehovah walked and talked on earth it was an angel that materialized and only represented Jehovah. I guess they feel that the angel materialized here on earth. Well where does the Bible say that. I think the Biblical verses support the angels and Jehovah arriving at earth already materialized and thats why they used vehicles to travel. Verse after verse in the Hebrew Bible suports this.

Imagine only four years ago I was giving talks in a kingdom hall. Ha Ha. This freedom of thought and expression is way too cool.

I never read Chariots of the Gods but if it is anything like the observations made at this site it would be interesting. Even when I was a Witness I thought the many Bible verses would make more sense if God and the Angels were extraterrestials.

If everyone contributes as you did it won't be about anything. I was asking because a program I saw on the history channel developed the topic and I never heard anyone here discuss it. So I was looking to see if there was anyone here with an opinion.
