  I can be who I really am, and use my abilities. I don't have to choose my words carefully so as to come across as theocratically correct. I can make up my own mind, and choose my own friends. I can help people who are not JWs and never intend to become such... I can vote...even run for office if I choose to.... Freedom is a beautiful thing!!!!

  It's Saturday aftermoon.... I slept late this morning and am completely enjoying my day. On my drive to my BF's house this morning, I passed 2 JW women going door to door....recognizable from quite a distance. They were walking slowly...looked worn out and unhappy. It hit home...and I thought how grateful I am that I don't have to do that any more!

  Nope! I am truly beyond their clutches! My x still tries to get my 2 kids to go, but they are out and not falling for that one! No one has been door to door in this neighborhood in at least 3 years.... Life is sooooooo good!!!!!!!

  ok it has been a little bit since there was a fluffy post by p2..so here it goes!.

  i have been thinking the last few months about family,friends and what role they take in my life.i have a good circle of people where i live but many do not understand my need to be who i am and to just live life and not give a hoot what anyone else feels the right or wrong way should be.

  i live my life based on what i feel is right for myself and my kids...not what most would feel as the norm.

  I guess it's pretty unusual, given our background, but my best friend has been my best friend since we were 6 years old. She left the borg first, and I refused to end our friendship, though pressured to do so, because she's always been more like a sister than a friend. I stayed in more than a decade longer than she did. Now that we're both out, our friendship is stronger than ever. We don't share the same beliefs, but accept eachother for who we are.

  O'Rielly Factor Jehovah Witness & Michael Jackson

  did you hear orielly say, micheal jackson is having a prayer session with jesse jackson.

  mr. jackson says he is a jehovah witness.if they come to my door, i'll let a big dog greet them.

  i was unable to quote the precise statement, but it is as close as i remember without recording his statment.. so one more negitive about the org.

  I'm sure the borg hates to be linked with him in any way....other than $. I'm sure this made them cringe! It amazes me that none of the media have linked together the pedophile problem in the borg with Michael Jackson''s case. Michael disassociated himself in the 80s.

  their was this guy that we saw on the sidewalk yelling things at the witnesses that were walking by.

  they called him mr. coffee.

  rumor had it that the demons wouldnt leave him alone unless he did this everyday and that his wife was a reg.

  Back in the llate 50s/early60s there was a guy that picketed headquarters frequently. I won't give his name...but initials were WN. He had been engaged to a Bethel "sister" who then dumped him and married another dub. WN was furious, and claimed it was unscriptural and that she should be made to fulfill her agreement to marry him. He was from Massachusetts. My mother was the one who brought him into the "troof" .WN was disfellowshipped.
