  ZeitGeist: I Sense A Disturbance In The Force

  simply put, something is happening behind the scenes of world affairs that the mainstream media isn't reporting.. suddenly, there are secession petitions in nearly every us state, including texas, louisiana, alaska and hawaii.. there is a bizarre sex scandal at the highest levels of the us military - together with evidence that the exposure of the scandal was timed.

  there have been us military leaders relieved of command together with specific rumors of a planned coup attempt against president obama.

  there were rumors about threats made because he refused to initiate a preventive war with iran, together with israeli leaders.. europe is threatened with collapse and anarchy and there is a rumor about an emergency bilderberg meeting in rome tonight.

  Leaked documents show a real threat to the international flow of information.

  The WCITLeaks site hit pay dirt this past Friday. Someone leaked the 212-page planning document being used by governments to prepare for the December conference. Mr. Dourado summarized: "These proposals show that many ITU member states want to use international agreements to regulate the Internet by crowding out bottom-up institutions, imposing charges for international communication, and controlling the content that consumers can access online."

  The broadest proposal in the draft materials is an initiative by China to give countries authority over "the information and communication infrastructure within their state" and require that online companies "operating in their territory" use the Internet "in a rational way"—in short, to legitimize full government control. The Internet Society, which represents the engineers around the world who keep the Internet functioning, says this proposal "would require member states to take on a very active and inappropriate role in patrolling" the Internet.

  Several proposals would give the U.N. power to regulate online content for the first time, under the guise of protecting against computer malware or spam. Russia and some Arab countries want to be able to inspect private communications such as email. Russia and Iran propose new rules to measure Internet traffic along national borders and bill the originator of the traffic, as with international phone calls. That would result in new fees to local governments and less access to traffic from U.S. "originating" companies such as Google, Facebook and Apple. A similar idea has the support of European telecommunications companies, even though the Internet's global packet switching makes national tolls an anachronistic idea.

  I cooked for the Plumhoffs a few times when we lived on Martha's Vineyard. They stayed with us as well. They were lovely, and very appreciative. This was back in the early 70s. I don't think they are still alive.

  They were assigned as caretakers of the Natick Assembly Hall after they came off the road. I don't think they are still alive.

  A milestone for my Grandson, David

  david turned 18 yesterday.

  (he is the one who walked from orlando, fl to washington, dc a little over 3 years ago on behalf of homeless children) i wrote about that on the forum back then.

  what i didn't write about is that david has grown up without a father....not because he doesn't exist, but because his father has chosen to live his life of drugs and violence.

  Thanks everyone!

  He truly is one of a kind. He is in the process of applying to colleges. He already has a scholarship from the State of Florida for 4 years of any instate College. He's expanding his horizons though. His resume is unbelievable.... so many awards and achievements. His letters of recommendation are numerous...and from people like the Mayor and Superintendant of Schools... It will be interesting where he ends up going.

  He plans to be a Doctor. Originally he wanted to go into politics.... but has discovered the corruption...and believes it has ruined a lot of good people.... so he feels medicine is a good way to go....especially after witnessing what his mom has endured. He also is interested in music and plans to persue that to some degree as well, Mostly because he enjoys it so much. He can play pretty much any instrument he picks up....but has been trained on the clarinet and guitar.

  He had a great birthday after the ordeal was overwith. They celebrated over the weekend, but the night after his confrontation with his father, he just wanted to spend time with his mom.... they talked for hours.

  You could say I'm proud...but that doesn't begin to cover it.... I am honored that he is part of my life. Watching him grow into such an exceptional young man has been amazing.

  "18 years ago (November 9th 1994) My older brother was born. Now he is a legal adult. He is more mature than most adults I know. He is a natural leader and he is kind and intelligent. I love him so much.
  Happy birthday, I love chuuuu"

  David turned 18 yesterday. (he is the one who walked from Orlando, Fl to Washington, DC a little over 3 years ago on behalf of homeless children) I wrote about that on the forum back then. What I didn't write about is that David has grown up without a father....not because he doesn't exist, but because his father has chosen to live his life of drugs and violence. He has been in and out of jail and prison. The family has lived in fear of him and what he is capable of. He has never been a "father". He has hardly ever paid child support at all, (maybe a total of $500. in all these years, and back when he was allowed visitation, he would bring the then 6 and 11 year old kids to strip bars. His last prison bout was for stalking and violent attack on a girlfriend. He was released from prison 2 days before David's Birthday.

  Immediately upon release from prison, he contacted my daughter (she's the one I've written about with the serious heart condition, who is finally on the mend) He said "I am coming for my kids" Obviously concerned, my daughter went to the police station looking for help, and to the schools in case he showed up there.

  David has always wanted a father he could look up to.... it has never been so.

  Well, David stepped up to the plate last night. He arranged to meet his father in a public place. (there were people close by in case anything went wrong) He told him that he wanted nothing to do with the kind of life his father has lived. His father told him that he is changed. He's a Bhudist now. David said.that's nice, but every time he gets out of jail or prison he's a different religion and it has never changed him. It's just a facade. He told him that from now on, if he wanted to see his sister or himself that he would have to go through David and can no longer harrass their mother. It has been ordered by the court that any visitation has to be attended by a court approved monitor. David has laid down the law. He spoke to his father man to man...not son to father. David told him that he plans to do good things with his life. He does not want to follow in his father's footsteps. He asked his father what he has done with his life that he can be proud of. David told him that he plans to be proud of what he does with his life....not because of his father, but in spite of him. His father tried to blame David's mother....David responded...did she put you in jail...or was it your own actions that put you there? He told his father that his mother is the one who has supported him, and he is the man he is because of her.

  This man has terrorized my family since David was a little boy. He has done unspeakable things to my daughter. He has been in prison for the past 3 years... and the family felt so much safer with him behind bars.

  So last night, David stood his ground, stood up to this bully, and faced him down. I believe it is a turning point.

  How Many Friends Did You Lose Over This Election?

  i lost one, and i am saddened by it.

  i may disagree with friends over politics and/or religion, but the only reason i would cut off a friend is if they betrayed me.

  anyone else lost friends or cut off friends because of politics or religion?.
