it seems that this question is used by elder to trap us and close their minds(the jw elder) to thinking.
if you answer no they wrap up a jc in short order.
i was wondering if any have tried to use a more pointed question to actually get them to think themselves.
I was asked this question when I met with elders. I said that I wasn't sure. I asked them how did they know that Jehovah was using the fds. One of them said that I would just have to take his word for it. I said that I was sorry, but I could not do that. i said that one day I would have to stand before my creator, and would have to answer for everything I said and did....and especially what I taught others. I said that I couldn't answer God by telling him that he would have to take that up with brother **** because I just took his word for it. I said that we are individually responsible for our actions.
They looked at me like i was from outer space. I can still remember the looks on their faces. Priceless

i was just thinking the other day how small our family is now that we aren't jw's.
we are thankful that we at least have our children!
my husband lost his mom and dad and only sister and her husband and all their children.
My grandparents, aunt and uncle and parents all passed before I left the borg. I was an only child, so while I have lost my family, it wasn't because of shunning. My kids and grandkids are out. My best friend since I was 6 years old is still very much a part of my life. She left the borg before I did. My boyfriend is out. I've known him since I was 16, when we kinda dated... He's been out far longer than I.
I've lost some friends....but I guess they really were'nt friends to begin with. Life is good,

i went to shut my door ( it has ice in the ledge) i shoved it with my side ugh!!!.
if i laugh or cough i near die with pain.i went to the hospital for xrays.

Back at work. Business as usual. We had rain last night. It cleared some of the snow. The sun is shining now...but I hear that another storm is on its way later this week.

Just got power back about an hour ago. 2 feet of snow here...and very heavy. The worst was the lack of power...no heat....and temps went down into the single digits. Sipping hot coffee and counting my blessings.
This is my Honda Fit..... before it was cleaned off.... but the driveway was cleared.
