  i see some warn mee to wright on this site, as on going jw, but as the tema says,forjw and ex jw.. as i not so good in english i think it must bee difficult to proof that i was informd that this is a apostate site, i dint caii this site a apostate site, i think it is a site where you can discuss annonymus, abauot important things.. i think i am one of the few inn sweden who now about this ngo thing, and childabuse, when i ask our po he dont now anything.. i have told some, my parents, who have been in the truth sens 1950, comment from my mom,the angels will look you upp and take you out, nice, i dont think so, if this happend it is the demon.. some warn mee and say that if you wright here spy find you, i dont think it is possibel, at least i stitt on a modem, and have a new number evry time i am logging inn, but perhaps i am wrong, then you must tell mee if they can find us who is inn here.. this was from the man behind anemys line.

  Hi happy man,
  The watchtower keeps members in the dark because it is much easier to control them that way. They're not going to tell them the bad stuff unless they have to, and then they will put their own spin on it. It's called damage control, and they are very busy doing just that right now. Witnesses would leave if they knew the truth.
  You're right to be nervous that you may be spied on. I'm not a computer expert, so I can't comment on how they could find you that way. They have, however spied on individual jws many times, resorting to questioning neighbors about their habbits, and who visits them and how often. I could tell you some incredible stories, but to do so would reveal my identity, and I can't do that right now.

  thought i'd share some of my experiences with you all!.

  sister x, was somewhat of an enigma in the congregation, certainly a 'one-off'!

  allegedly she suffered from an 'illness' that incapacitated her at strangely convenient times!

  There was a pioneer sister in my congregation years ago. She was on welfare, and my dad found out. He was an elder, and he hit the roof. He told her that if she was capable of pioneering, then she was capable of holding down a job to support herself. She was removed from the pioneer rolls. My dad was an unusual elder. After his death, she was back on the pioneer list, on welfare again. No one stopped her then.

  i can't find the words that would express how grateful i am for all the support, not only for all of you to back me on the dateline show but for my trial as well.

  i don't think i would have had the courage to go through the trauma if it wasn't for all your prayers and encouragement.

  dateline was a huge help for many and i know this because i have recieved quite a few calls, one from a current jdub who wants out for the safety of his 16 month old baby, i was so excited that he lifted the veil and saw it for the pure truth that it was.

  well ok, "shunned" is really sister number 2, but peachypoof is sister number one, and the second of my sister to join the board.. she is about 18 months younger than me, and today joined us on the board.. i know when i was talking to her online, i was kinda choked up, that she was signing up with us here.

  these are moments that this brother, the real brother of these two sisters of mine will never forget!.

  i am serious, i have have noticed a distinct pattern in my headache.

  flare ups here lately.

  when i decide to start reading the bible or give spiritual mediation a try, i start to get sick.

  It's not an easy process. It's painful, and it takes time.
  Don't try to go too fast. Take a break for a while, and enjoy your freedom to live without the pressure of the borg. It's possible to overload on all the stuff you find out about the borg, and it makes you question everything you were ever taught. Take the time to figure out what you really believe, as an individual, not as a follower. Start slowly. Hang out here, or find some xjws close to home, and have a cup of coffee. Find new friends who appreciate you for you.
  Ask the questions you were never allowed to ask. You have the rest of your life to find answers. No need to hurry. You've been on a treadmill for a long time. Get off and just enjoy relaxing for a while. It helps to talk to others who've been down this road. There's a whole lot of us here. E-mail me if you want to talk. My e-mail is open.

  I think you're mistaken. Many of the abuse cases were at the hands of elders. Maybe not all, but certainly a significant percentage.

  The hypocrisy in the watchtower is blatant. They don't want to be judged by the same standards by which they judge others. The shoe is on the other foot now, and they are squirming. There is no justification that can be applied here. They're going to try though.
  We're going to see some very creative tapdancing now.

  The Patriarch and the Prodigal Son

  i'm trying to get a copy of a book published many years ago entitled the patriarch and the prodigal son, by joel stanley.

  it is an account of his growing up as a jw, and includes accounts of alleged child abuse in his family.

  i'm hoping someone here has a copy they're willing to sell, or knows where i can get one.. joel grew up in the claremont, nh area, and became a friend of mine when i was a young jw in western mass.
