  When Meetings Went Overtime, What Did You Do?

  i used to start looking at the clock behind me, look at my watch, look at the speaker or person handling the part and give obvious facial expressions expressing my dissatisfaction.

  it was a pet peeve of mine!

  a few times when i had the last part in a service meeting, i'd say, rather sternly,"this originally was a 15 minute part but because we are running out of time, we will dispense with (whatever).".

  counted ceiling tiles...made a shopping list....went to the lady's room....pretended to take notes but really just doodling...drifted into daydreaming... people watched...

  I am officially divorced

  yesterday was the day - that my marriage of over 10 1/2 years to my jw wife was dissolved....finally.... - i am in a terrific mood today!

  my wife and i have joint physical and legal custody of the kids which is awesome!

  she doesn't make them go to meetings or go out in service and she has to allow all extra carricular activities.

  Yeah! Good for you! The best part is that your kids will have freedom from the borg. You're paying a lot more in child support in a week than I got in a month, and I had full physical custody. The finances may hurt...but the outcome to your ordeal is priceless!

  We were "vacation pioneering" one summer in Vermont. My mom & I were talking to a lady in her yard, and a bird landed on my mom's head. The lady busted up laughing...and my mom couldn't get it off...it held on to her hair for dear life. I couldn't help her...I was laughing too hard. She eventually untangled the thing and if flew away.

  Did the title of "overseer" ever bother you

  overseers used to be called servants.

  the roles were reversed when servants became overseers.

  The term was also used in the days of slavery. The overseer was the one in charge of the slaves. Fits, doesn't it, into the mindset of jws?

  i know many people have been "awakened" in a sense by discovering the problems in the org about pedophiles and how it has been covered up.

  i knew nothing at all about it when i first came here.

  Loren Green is the person who covers religious topics on Fox. It might be easier to get through to her first. Some of the big tv personalities have staff that you have to go through.

  What was your first car?

  mine was an old fiat 127, i bought it 1983 and it was at least fifteen years old then!

  the seats were vinyl and there were no rear seatbelts so i could send my girlfriend and her sister flying with each bend in the road!

  it wouldn't go above 55mph and was rattling like rollercoaster when it finally got there.. the rear window fell out and it finally croaked in puff of blue/black smoke.

  Chevy nova convertable...blue... I painted flowers on the convertable top. The circuit servant gave my elder dad fits. My dad told him that flowers were created by Jehovah and he saw nothing wrong with using them to add beauty to my car. My dad won. I kept my decorations on my 2 door car.
