I read her book "Infadel". She is an amazing woman, who has led an unbelievable life. I wholeheartedly recommend her book. You will not be able to put it down.

i had thought of doing this for a while, and a good friend of mine had the same idea not too long ago, so here we go.. i've been here long enough to see some good friends leave us, some just move on and some have gone on to the next life, whatever that is.
i don't think it's so important to say how they left us, but just the fact that they were here and they had something to say, and they were/are good people.
just like us, some were tormented and made a choice to go, and some were shown the door by their choices.

i have been so reluctant to post basically because i am so torn about exposing my personal life.
i happen to come across this website by mistake about 6 months ago.
i agreed with your opinions of the jws view on higher education and independent thinking that i found on this website.
Welcome!
I was raised in the borg too. I was pregnant in 1975...when the end was supposed to come! Instead, my daughter was born in March of 1976. She's 31. Had I listened to all the council to wait to have children until after armageddon, I wouldn't have my daughter, my son, 3 grandchildren and one on the way.

I've made new friends since then, and the old friendships have deepened...my ideas on this topic were the same then as they are now.
So...what was your first post or topic...and have you changed your ideas since then?
