They wouldn't have much use for my blood, I'm afraid, or else I'd be down there donating. I'm sure a relief fund will be announced that will be specifically for the families of those killed; I'll get in on that.
The best thing, though, will be if some New York JWs can get in there and hand out tracts and back issues to the people trapped in the rubble.

Kat, it's natural to experience those feelings in the face of such a disaster. But you are alive; we are still alive, and it is the duty of the living to carry on. We mourn and bury our dead, and we experience our shock and loss and grief; and then we continue to live, and love, and laugh; and occasionally to remember them with soberness throughout our lives.
There is no shame to you for dealing with the problems in your life. This event may give you some perspective with which to view them in the future; but they are still real, and of necessity must be dealt with. Don't down yourself because you are alive and others are not. This is simply how it worked out.

it was reported on the news that half of the ny fire force lost their lives today due to the tragedy at the wtc.
i will pray for their families.. to all the fire fighter in the us and the world over.

I heard on the news this morning that people under the rubble are calling from cell phones, saying they are alive; and some are in groups. One guy said there were a firefighter and a policeman with him.

where i live there have been calls for massive prayer meetings for all the victims of the terrorist attack.
my question would be, if god is so great and loving why didn't he stop the damn planes to begin with?????.
if the supposed great all powerful being had the power to stop something such as this and just let it all happen, the what fool would think he is going to give a rat's ass about the victims after the fact.. if there is a power who takes action in behalf of the victims, i hope they stomp a mud hole in the ass of those who caused this to happen and when they are finished do a little stomping on god for doing nothing.
Just think, sunstarr, if you'd only known to pray that no planes hit buildings today, we might have been spared this disaster.

Alarming, true enough. When I heard about the first plane this morning, the second one had not hit and there was no news of the other strikes. All we knew was the one plane had hit the tower. And I said to myself immediately, "That's not the end of it. It's the tip of an iceberg."
