It is possible, don't you think?
No.
ludicrous as it may seem, the watchtower society may be right?...
yeah?
as so much of their doctrines are based on interpretation.. the watchtower society may have interpreted the bible... correctly!
It is possible, don't you think?
No.

everyone in the truth, knows it is the "love of money", not money itself that is wrong.
i am well aware that money in itself does not bring happiness.. what i detect though amongst the witnesses is almost an antipathy to money and wealth.
one sister i was speaking to the other day complained about all the spending that goes on at xmas.
"Money can't buy happiness."
Well, maybe not, but it can damn sure make unhappiness more comfortable.
As one who spent the great majority of his life either in or hovering quite near poverty and only quite recently began to earn a middle-class income, I must testify that having an adequate income makes life much better. Good health care and the knowledge that I can afford it if surgery is necessary. A comfortable, well-built home. A vehicle that doesn't present a monthly drain on my resources due to advanced age. Ability to pay my utility bills without worrying about how. Enough food in the refrigerator. Decent clothes.
And money left over to play a little bit.
Money can't buy happiness? Sounds like sour grapes to me.
ok,,,i am patting myself on the back!!!!
( i did not take my humble pill today) i am just so happy and proud.... to anyone who reads this it may seem quite silly...but for me it is such an accomplishment... after months of therapy,,i have found the courage to "reveal" myself....i was able to reach out and write personally to 2 friends..it was great!!!!
fear!!!
By doing this, you have taken a huge step toward reclaiming control of your life for yourself. Congratulations! This is really worthy of celebration!

greetings all texas apostates...i have been guided by the holy spirit (tm) to compile a map locating us in the veritable hotbed of apostacy that texas is...if you would like to be on the map let me know and i'll add you as you request.
we can't very well let ballistic and our uk counterparts/blokes/blokettes have all the fun now can we?
we can also squeeze in our brothers and sisters from neighboring staes as well.. .
flivver (fliv'er)
n. Slang.
An automobile, especially one that is small, inexpensive, and old.
The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition
I guess you'd need to know the multiple references to get it, XW. First there's "Pippa's Song", by Robert Browning:
The year's at the spring,
And day's at the morn;
Morning's at seven;
The hill-side's dew-pearled;
The lark's on the wing;
The snail's on the thorn;
God's in his Heaven -
All's right with the world.
And then there's Aldous Huxley's take on it as rendered in Brave New World, in which the biblical god is nonexistent and the true God is Ford (great inventor, turned from man to god after his death... same place we got a lot of our gods, no doubt). For example:
"But how can they live like this?" she broke out in a voice of indignant incredulity. (It wasn't possible.)
Bernard shrugged his shoulders philosophically. "Anyhow," he said, "they've been doing it for the last five or six thousand years. So I suppose they must be used to it by now."
"But cleanliness is next to fordliness," she insisted.
"Yes, and civilization is sterilization," Bernard went on, concluding on a tone of irony the second hypnopdic lesson in elementary hygiene. "But these people have never heard of Our Ford, and they aren't civilized. So there's no point in "
And so, rather than "God's in his heaven" the Brave New Worlders have:
"Ford's in his flivver," murmured the D.H.C. "All's well with the world."

If Greg frequented these sites more often, we could treat him like some have treated his worthy predecessors.
What would his reception be like, particularily if he's not shed some of his jw trappings yet?
Well, for some of us, a less-than-excited greeting would be a leftover response from back in the day, on H2O, when Greg shot himself in the foot by pretending to be somebody else and talking in glowing terms about how impressive Greg's reasoning skills were. You see, when Greg typed in a fake username, he didn't know that the poster's real username was included in the header of the post.
Aw, well, it's been about three years since that very public crash-and-burn. I suppose it's time to forgive the guy and give him another chance.

once there lived a woman who had a maddening passion for baked beans.
she loved them but unfortunately, they had always had a very embarrassing and somewhat lively reaction to her.. .
then one day she met a man and fell in love.
does anyone know, if the new 2001 cd-rom from the wts has been released yet?.

recent bizarre family events have led my mom a 35-year witness (she's in her mid 60s) and my dad, the unbelieving mate (he's in his early 70s) to consider putting their "affairs in order".
neither are ill in any way, but my mom's mother is not doing too well, leaving her care to be managed by my mother.. .
when grandma's husband died awhile back, the affairs were not prepared adequately, leaving a lot of headaches for those of us required to handle things.
Very good, and very good news. Thanks for telling about it.
Live, mom! Die, 'tower!
