skyking, those religions do not have even close to as many followers as Christianity. Besides, I didn't say that this meant that Christianity is correct (though I do think it is). I was just merely pointing out that yes, many, MANY people did talk about these miracles. James, what are you so angry about? And who are you praying to?

Why Did Jesus Not Write Anything ?
by choosing life inhave you ever wondered why jesus did not put anything in writing?
he was here to explain his father to us and teach us how to gain salvation.
wouldn't it have been a good thing to write his instructions down, rather than leave it up to others many years later?

It's Sunday????
by J-ex-W ini am so off on my body clock.
another person posted on here about watching friends on this sunday, and i'm sitting here that since her note says she's from netherlands, she must be at least twelve hours ahead of me, or something.
--that and, i just realized, i never got a phone call today from my congregation to get hooked up on the phone line for sunday wt.

Thanks, Shelly. I figured it had to be something along the lines of that, and not just, "Here, don't come to the meeting, but listen to it on a a tape instead." :-) Thanks again for the clarification.

Someone wrote "Many times Jesus's miracles as recorded in the bible are followed by the words, "and the people were amazed". Why didn't any of those amazed people record or speak to others about those events so that they could record them? Something's a little fishy about the whole thing." But TONS of people DID speak to others about those events! That's why Jesus had so many followers. Tons of people were telling their families and friends and strangers and plenty of other people. And look how quickly the Christian church sprang up. There were definitely more than a few people telling others about these miracles.

It's my party - Should we invite them?
by Nellie ini've got extended family that live out of state who are active witnesses and my husband's father is an elder.
my family is so not a part of our lives, that the only time we speak are for funerals.
i don't even hear about births anymore.

Nellie, I'm kinda torn on this one. You're going to have to listen to your heart and what you know deep down is best. Personally, I don't think that I would invite them because I don't think I'd be able to handle the stress and the worries that might come with it. However, I'd like to say that it would be a good idea to do, because it's perhaps the right thing to, and you're doing what's right and good and kind and extending an invitation even if they don't. I don't know! It's your call.

Soulmates do you believe in them
by fifi40 indo you believe in love at first sight?
do you believe that we have a soulmate?
has any one ever experienced either of them

I don't really believe in love at first sight... at least, I don't think so. I believe that it is probably just attraction. However, I do believe in soul mates. I know what I believe is contrary to what a lot of people on here believe, but I think that soul mates do exist. I think that when you're really in love, it's meant to be... that God created that one person just for you and created you for only him (or her). I mean, sure, you could be COMPATIBLE or get along well with lots of people, but I do believe in "meant to be." I suppose that I am a romantic at heart, but I believe it's true.
