when a visiting speaker did not wear the official white shirt he was either told that he couldn't give the talk or he could change shirts,as the hall kept a variety of sizes, just in case of an emergency!!!

Learning a "lesson" from my 3 yr old daughter...

so here i was watching diego with my 3 year old daughter sierra.

when the show came on they were talking about three-toed sloth being in trouble and needs to be rescued.

for some reason i thought they were saying "floth".. anyway diego says "say sloth...say sloth"...i said "floth"....my daughter turns around and says " nooooo mom, it's "floth"...(hmmm, that's what i said.

Two true stories of the kids say the darnedest things variety from my days (12 years) as a professional tutor. Overheard.

Boy: "We went to Disney World!"
Girl: "No, you didn't!"
Boy: "Yes, we did! I swear!" (Swear pronounced swea-uh, of course!)

Preschool teacher who overheard them: "Honey, I don't think your mother would like to hear that you swore."

Boy: "It's OK to swear. As long as ya ain't gonna lie."

Of course, the boy was right. (*smile*)Swearing false oaths is definitely a problem, and needlessly swearing oaths to mundane matters is frowned upon, but if ya ain't gonna lie, then who's to stop you?

Little boy has his first day in first grade. After lunch, he starts to pack up his crayons, etc. in his backpack.
The teacher smiles, thinking, awwww, Johnny thinks this is just like half-day preschool.

Teacher: "Johnny, you're a big boy now. We stay for the whole day here in the first grade."

Johnny: "Who the hell signed me up for this?"

has anyone ever seen a mixed race couple shown in paradise in the wts literature?.

i haven't.

i've seen pictures of modern day mixed race couples but never ever in paradise..

That pic is not an interracial couple. That looks like a classic "Hector and Maria Lopez" situation right there. The side view of the lovely lady is fooling some, but look at the children. Very apparent, to me at least.

Anyway, it is pretty clear what the people in charge of the Society think about these matters, in general. We all know what Jesus thinks about it (or at least we SHOULD!).

it denies that michael porter was an elder, but the language used seems only to rule out the fact that he was an elder at mill hill... not his original congregation.

is this new info - the date seems to suggest that it is old ?

as i faded over the past year, i still went to some meetings each month, and my wife always likes to sit (pretty much alone) near the front of the hall.

although there in body, i could just not stand to keep listening so i decided to start writing a book.

action/adventure/suspence revolving around a worldwide effort to end islamic extremist terrorism.
