Here's what a JW said over on the moronic discussion board at www.jehovahsjudgment.co.uk (under a thread entitled 'Speculation')
"Not me...I like to live on the Edge. I LOVE seeing bad news happen. The more the merrier. Makes me know the end is near."
Makes you sick doesn't it. He just LOVE's to hear about suffering and badness in the world. I bet he's never lifted a finger in his whole pathetic life to ever actually HELP anyone of those suffering persons who have been victims of the bad news he so loves to hear about. His view is that it displeases Jehovah to donate money to any children's charities like World Vision or Save the Children, because that would be supporting 'Babylon the Great'. Makes me puke.
This is probably quite typical of the warped mentality produced by an organisation that is obsessed with Armageddon and the end of the world where 99% of mankind will be destroyed and left on the ground as bird-food and manure.

Assume the Position!
by yaddayadda injan 15 2006 watchtower, 2nd study article, last paragraph says:
"....likewise, satan will 'flee from us' in defeat if we are in full submission to jehovah and prayerfully rely on him.
(ephesians 6:18) with the support of jehovah god and his beloved son, nobody can do us permanent harm - no, not even internet apostates the devil!

Jan 15 2006 Watchtower, 2nd study article, last paragraph says: "....Likewise, Satan will 'flee from us' in defeat if we are in full submission to Jehovah and prayerfully rely on Him. (Ephesians 6:18) With the support of Jehovah God and his beloved Son, nobody can do us permanent harm - no, not even internet apostates the Devil! - Psalm 91-9-11 When JW's read the above they mentally re-phrase it as: 'full submission' to the 'faithful and discreet slave' = 'full submission' to Jehovah.' So bend over and assume the position for the Governing Body and Watchtower Society!!!!

Why the GB are never self critical?
by greendawn inthose pussyfooting with the devious nature of the gb of the jws should notice some strange things in their behaviour.
they are not known to (1)have ever carried out an act of self evaluation and self criticism and accept that they were wrong in some of their actions, or (2) to accept any criticisms from jw members let alone reply to them with rational arguments.
that is a most unchristian attitude.

Interesting topic. I guess the short reason is that since they are God's 'sole channel' through which all correct scriptural interpretation is beamed down to planet earth then they must think why on earth should they apologise when they have only been uttering the spiritual gamma-rays of edification and new light that Jehovah has shone into their craniums in the first place. In their mind, for the 'channel' to admit it was wrong and apologise would be like Jehovah himself apologising for a mistake.

Watchtower admits JW's teach a different gospel
by yaddayadda infeb 1, 2006 watchtower, page 25, para 14:.
"that issue of the watch tower further stated: "in 1920,...bible students came to a correct understanding of our lord's prophecy contained in matthew 24:14. they then realized that 'this gospel' which was to be preached in all the world for a testimony to the gentiles or all nations, was not a gospel of a kingdom yet to come but a gospel to the effect that the messianic king has begun his reign over the earth.

Hi Moggy Lover. Here is a paragraph from that 1st May 1981 article you mentioned that appears to be what you are referring to:
*** w81 5/1 17-18 If God Has an Organization, What Is It? *** 3 Let the honest-hearted person compare the kind of preaching of the gospel of the Kingdom done by the religious systems of Christendom during all the centuries with that done by Jehovah’s Witnesses since the end of World War I in 1918. They are not one and the same kind. That of Jehovah’s Witnesses is really “gospel,” or “good news,” as of God’s heavenly kingdom that was established by the enthronement of his Son Jesus Christ at the end of the Gentile Times in 1914. (Luke 21:24) The worldwide witness given to this effect under the barrage of international persecution and opposition could have been given only by means of God’s all-conquering spirit. It was accomplished neither by the spirit of man nor by that of Satan the Devil. It was done with the help of God’s holy angels, as is indicated in Revelation 14:6, 7:

'Other Sheep'
by Honesty indo you feel that the watchtower has a few things 'right' about their two 'classes' of people, 'annointed' and 'other sheep' ?.
if so, what does this scripture mean to you?.
phil 3:18-20 for i have often told you, and now say again with tears, that many live as enemies of the cross of christ.

The New System is foremost on their minds and hearts. Love for Christ is hardly ever mentioned in any JW circle of discussion.
Sad but true.

Apostate WT Study
by IronClaw inso did anyone go to the apostate wt study today?
if so, how did your conductor handle it?
any good comments made from the r/f?

Human nature being what it is, the more you hear about something and are told it is naughty, the more you want to find out about it. I'd wager that a few JW's went home and decided to check those naughty 'apostate' websites just to see what all the fuss is about. Only those with something to hide will keep telling people not to look.

Yes, they teach a 'gospel' that the 'Messianic King' has been reigning over earth (of which Satan is still the God and the ruler) since 1914, yet the 1000 year reign of Christ has YET TO BEGIN!
Nowhere in the bible is 1914 mentioned or even indicated. A little research reveals the chronology and reasoning JW's use to perpetuate this pecular creed is fundamentally flawed.
Clearly, in this respect JW's are teaching a different 'gospel' than what was taught by the apostles and accepted by the disciples. It is a gospel beyond what was taught by the apostles. What does the bible counsel about such types of 'good news' (gospel):
Galatians 1:7-8 "However, even if we or an angel out of heaven were to declare to you as good news something beyond what we declared to you as good news, let him be accursed. As we have said above, I also now say again, Whoever it is that is declaring to you as good news something beyond waht you accepted, let him be accursed."

Using new doctrine to enforce NEW Watchtower policy.
by hubert inthe watchtower uses bible verses to enforce their shunning policy so that the rank and file won't talk to ex-j.w.
's and therefore find out why they left the org.. also, they use verses to stop the rank and file from looking at "apostate" literature and research the watchtower policies.. my question.... what are some of the doctrine that could be used to enforce "new" watchtower policies?
policies that should be in place, but are not?.

'New Light' with scriptural backing. Possible Watchtower Watchtower study wording::
Matthew 4:2; 6:17; Mark 2:20, Luke 5:35; Luke 18:12
"A clearer understanding of fasting reveals that Jesus approved of fasting, himself fasted on occasion, and foretold that his disciples would again practice it after his death."
Acts 13:2,3
"From this verse it is apparent that fasting was a part of the worship of the first century Christians. With this better understanding all of us are now encouraged to practice regular fasting, as we want to bring our worship more in line with original Christianity as recorded in the scriptures and thus be fully pleasing Jehovah God."
