I'm here because I was "in love" with the wrong religion. It has broken up my family. It has broken my spirit. It has broken my heart. I feel so dumb for being so blinded by this religion. I need support. It is nice to find other people, like myself, who understand what it is like to be duped!

where else can you get so many varied opinions about a religion that i grew up in, would have died for, have family members that are members of, have questions about myself and find answers to some tough questions i have?

Are Women Allowed To Be Ministers?
by lucifer ini was out last night with my friend that i went to church with a couple weeks ago (he's presbyterian) and i asked him if he had been to church lately and he told me that him and his family went to the main church in town instead of his little one in the country.
then he told me that his aunt and cousins got up and left the service because it was a woman minister??
so i asked if they were allowed to have women ministers and he said no that it is against the bible ..."the bible clearly says that women are not to have authority in chuch/congregations..." .

VHS of Elder lying in court...need help getting on net
by alamb ini have the video, finally, of the city overseer perjuring himself.
in it, he denies wt publications, refuses to read wt articles and quotes claiming they come from "apostate" websites, etc.
it is about 10 minutes long.

Once, when I was desperate, I was able to record a VHS tape by pointing the camera from the computer at the tv. Didn't have time to wait for Kinkos are a camera shop to open. It was for a class. I then was able to record the movie onto a CD.
Just a thought.

Hi Evita, I know how you feel. My kids are older and since the other two started shunning me, it's had an affect on my viewpoint. I guess that I didn't expect a separation like that. I kind of thought that they'd go off to college and keep in touch, not join the dubs and start thinking of me as a devil. Whew! If only, I hadn't been so hard-headed. I should have never opened up the door. Hopefully, I won't be feeling this way for long. I told my shrink about everything, and how I get down in the dumps. She asked me to go to see a psychologist. She told me that the lady was good with people that are going through what I'm going through. I was supposed to go on Thursday. I cancelled the appointment. I just couldn't see myself sitting on a couch or whatever talking about myself.(sigh)
I guess that I'm just tired. Maybe, I'll feel differently in the morning.

by cheen inwhen my brother was "in" first as ms, then elder he didnt get along with my mother or 2 brothers and 3 sisters who are also jw's.
they didn't get along with him either btw.
this guy was the epitome of the judgemental, scripture quoting a'hole jw that i'm sure most of you have come across a time or two.
