last sunday after the sermon i happen to see a lady who was knitting.

i went to say hi and comment on her choice of yarn and how well she was coming in her knitting (last year she and i and a few other ladies in my church went on a women's retreat whereupon she took up knitting.

) as we were talking i mentioned something about the shawl ministry (http://www.shawlministry.com/) and if she had heard about it.

Adam was hanging around the garden of Eden feeling very lonely. So, God asked him, "What's wrong with you?" Adam said he didn't have anyone to talk to.

God said that He was going to make Adam a companion and that it would be a woman.

and when you discover clothing, she will wash it for you.

She will always agree with every decision you make and she will not nag you,

and will always be the first to admit she was wrong when you've had a disagreement. She will praise you!

She will bear your children.

and never ask you to get up in the middle of the night to take care of them.

"She will NEVER have a headache and will freely give you love and passion whenever you need it."

Adam asked God, "What will a woman like this cost?"

God replied, "An arm and a leg."

Then Adam asked, "What can I get for a rib?"

Of course the rest is history......................

A "friend" has died.

i met this man 17 years ago - new to the city, he was an elder in the congregation.

his personality was warm and loud - (a new yorker, of course) -- i had left home, but i was reminded of home every time he opened his mouth.

one of the most endearing things about him was the way he pronounced jehovah - with an "er" at the end, more like jehover... boy was he loud and warm.

Nellie, you're going for Frank, not for the organization. If you are not disfellowshipped, they may try to reach out; but, if you are disfellowshipped, expect the usual, ie, being set away from the good Witnesses.

Notice that the apostles don't say, "Where shall we go away to", but "whom"..... Leaving the WTS is not the same as leaving Christ. Or Jehovah. Or Christianity.
