Those people on the islands you speak of, james, are part of a Civilization...they may even have come from a very advanced Civilization themselves but wondered off on their own. They used whatever was available on the islands to make life comfortable.

I have read extensively on the subject of Civilization and still I can NOT bring myself to believe that humans roamed around for millions and millions of years and suddenly became Civilized only a few shorts years ago compared to millions and millions of years..

If you think about it "Civilization" hasn't been around for to long. If we humans are millions of years old then why is civilization so young? and Real history so new in comparison.

Struggling with the concept of a "God"
by littleblueuk inthis topic, i'm sure, has been discussed many times, but today i am really contemplating the concept of god.. i remember vividly the old testament; the israelites slaughtering everyone in their path, men, women and children at god's direction at jericho, leaving no one alive.
i remember thinking then as a child how cruel that was.
there are many other examples.. then reading the news today i read a section in the world news about india.

I find that when an atheist or someone who believes in evolution makes a post...if you do not agree with him/her they will jump all over you and beat you with a hammer. AND then their friends will come in and hack you to pieces and throw your body parts to the lions. NOT JOKING

i'm wondering what or who, now that you are no longer in the society, you believe this "faithful and wise servant" ("faithful and discreet slave") is.

When I was young and looking for an answer to who God was and is....I believed the GB to be the faithful and discreet slave besides the 1000's of other ones who claimed to be in that class. I honestly thought they knew how to interpret the words of God from the Bible. Even when I had my doubts later on, I felt I could be wrong. Now though I am back to square ONE. Still looking for answers. I know I was emotionally SCAMMED by this make-believe religion.!
