i thought i was done with the jw's.
i knew they made an announcement last year about me.
i assumed by the avoidance of so many, and my lack of enthusiasm for "the truth", as well as i have slammed the door on the elders many times now, exiled me.

i found it so interesting to see what information is held about you at the branch office, if you are or were an appointed man.. for instance.
name, address, date of birth, date of baptism, all dates where you have been an elder, ms etc, all the congs you have been appointed in.
s2 forms, letters of introduction scanned and available to read.
If what you say is correct, than by all means they will have to provide you with a detailed summary of what they have on file on you ...for a certain purpose.................
Depending on the jurisdiction you are in......that purpose may be illegal.......
Perhaps time to revoke their right to register all that info.

the ms's daughter is going through a lot of problems right now.

in my old congregation there are many disfellowshiped young ones.
the parents use the watchtower rule that they need "assistance" from their children therefore can have them over and associate with them more freely.
this has clearly been abused as disfellowshiped kids taking the whole family on hloidays out to dinner, etc....but the elders turn a blind eye.
The difference might be that even an abusive husband can be a great screw.........the watchtower is a great screw up....

even with my jw wife.....i have told her for awhile she is prob better off without me....i was party central in jwland....nobody has had me over for two years now....i guess cause i could not shut up about some real truths about the so-called truth....now i have agreed to shut up....these guys really do have a right to their own beliefs...i am very non-judgemental and always have been......i should have shut up two years ago or so...but damm......trying to fit in with your own marriage in order to save being shunned from your blood family and a very few what is left dub friends just sucks.....starting over at midlife is such a bitch.....such a bitch..........oompa.
and ya...the fear of the unknown is really present......if all i have known is jw...i will prob not fit into real world either.
If I may say so.....I think you have a better fit in the world than in the outworldly Jw fantasy........No change in your personal behavior is required to live in the real world. Nor of your moral attitudes......Just be part of where you live......and in many respects....I'm sure you alread are. It's just you're gonna leave some JW rubbish behind.....
How bad can that be?

i know i am the one to constantly harp on this board how the organization has lost its "swagger" and the baptism and attendance is going down, and people are waking up.. not so fast.. the audience cried, i mean a lot of people cried when they played some of the songs from the new songbook.
some had bethel singers who sounded pretty good singing them.
so many after the program were saying how touched they were.. then the new release of the book showing how the book of acts prefigures the organization today.
Bonafide adn all else who went, will go.....
Did you gauge the time people spent walking around chatting during the program? Of course there are many on their seats.....try and count the walkers.....Where they once sat on their asses listening to the whole program and nothing but the program....they now walk around chatting or are still seated but playing with their phones, or making "notes" with their blackberries, ipaq's or even EEEPC's.
Check it out......all else is emotion .....group emotion.

been almost 8 months since posting...peeked a little -- but i was becoming consumed by the big "w".
my wife's the jw, but i hold the hatetred!
i had to back away...since then i've managed to remove old publications(she stores them now), i'm an opposer now, so i've not really had any elder contact, she's still doing bs & fs, but not much talk.

I think it is true that the relationship changes. Whether or not you both walk along together is a question of how much she is willing to accept in terms of doing things alone, whether you both have plenty of other things to share. Chances are there is not very much that ties you both together other than the JW-truth. That goes a long way if you stay within the boundaries of the JW-truth. As soon as you step outside of those boundaries.....you start living a different life.....
But I would not go as far as to say we "know-betters" cause the failure......I regard it as an sum of several things.....it takes two to tango.

Well.....In the Netherlands they have devised at least one new enthnic group......called muslims....they are now claiming discrimination based on race....being a muslim is being a race......
I could understand it some more if they were talking about centuries of small religion adherents only interbreeding amoungst themselves.......I guess it's a matter of political left church correctness
