  Do we "graduate" from the boards?

  class of 2005 for me maybe?

  i remember so many names fondly, and not the regular names most people name off every day like george or robert, etc, but strange sounding ones: .

  skully, puternut, seven006, teh, richie rich, bigdog, dragonlady, jenniebeans, valis, prophecor, little toe, james thomas, sassy, defd, slipnslidemaster, alanf, brenda clouter (ok, that ones normal), hadenuff, buttlight, schne belly, stickypantz, p2k, incence and peppermints, whyamihere, devinsmom, harleyquinn, es, simon, eyegirl, joannadandy,i could go on all night, but the point is these people were in what i think i will call my school of real life graduating class.

  I still remember when ithinkisee’s wife came over, man that was incredible! I’m looking forward to meeting those two one day soon.

  me too. can't wait to meet you in person. your posts have helped me more than you know.....

  I don’t say much these days, but I promise I still look at the boards 10 times per day

  same here. read lots, but don't feel like I have too much to say.....

  I wouldn’t be as far along as I feel I am now without it.

  ditto that. this board has been priceless in helping me.

  Will we ever fit in?

  this has probably by far the hardest adjustment my husband and myself have had to make.

  sometimes we feel like we just dont really belong anywhere.

  sometimes we still act and think like jw s even though we are getting together a nice network of new friends.. my question is, does it get easier with time to feel like you belong somewhere?.

  Hey Montana -

  I struggle with this also. I had some new "worldly" friends when I left, but then we moved to start over and I don't know anyone. It's really hard to not have a girlfriend to just call up and be able to talk to. I know it takes time, but it's hard to re-establish contacts for myself and for my children.

  I know you said you have 2 girls and I do also. I was wondering how you are handling stuff like this with them and also what you might have said to your 11 year old about not going to meetings anymore. My oldest sounds just like her and we need to talk to her about all that. I would love your input when you feel like starting a topic on that!

  My Wife is pregnant, wow!

  the day i was told i was going to be d/f i my wife also did a test and found out she is pregnant.

  yesterday she went to the doctor and she is already 9 weeks.

  i can't think of a better way to move on and create a new and wonderful life.. i am 36, going on 21, and have a 19 yo step son and 13 yo step daughter that i love dearly.

  there are many happy times and many sleepless nights ahead for you!

  congrats to all of your family! Your 13 year old stepdaughter will probably be a huge help with the new little baby!

  a brief conversation tonight with my jw mother, who has been ill recently, triggered this.

  i called to see how she is and she warned me that she has sent me a note and hopes it won't hurt my feelings.

  Yankee Stadium? Not again!

  word has it in new york city that the cozy days at nassau colisseum are over.

  (for those of you unfamiliar with new york, the district conventions have been held at an indoor colisseum for for several years now.

  prior to that new yorkers were forced into sitting for 3+ days in a hot, humid, sometimes rainy outdoor stadium.

  I attended all my DC's there as a kid...

  18 years of hot, humid, smelly, crowded, and sometimes pouring rain, assemblies

  My Crazy Mother learns a lesson

  yesterday (monday) i was off school and work, and i told my mother i would go out in service.

  so monday morning i got up, got dressed, drove to the hall, and there was no one there.

  i fell asleep in my car while i waited, woke up to wave at a brother, then fell back asleep, and then woke up, looked around and left.
