  Governing Body in the early Church???

  back in early christain times did god really have an organisation with a governing body that gave to the r&f "new light" and "spiritual food" in due time, as the wts claims?

  did that early church operate like the wts does today?

  did the apostles behave like the gb does today?

  this was a topic I thoroughly researched and read and re-read in the bible. Fred Franz's CoC has a good chapter on it also............

  there is no basis for their authority, the way the WTS says they have authority from the bible.

  so it's looking like Charlotte would be a good spot? do I hear any objections to that area?

  I was thinking we could do this sometime in the next few months. we couldn't do it till after March 1st sometime.

  any ideas as to where to meet there? I don't know the area at all, just the airport. Have had to do some drop offs there for friends and family.

  When did it dawn that parents are fallible?

  how old were you when you realized that your parents were fallible and, that lastest slap you got was unjust?

  for me i realised at about 9 years old, neither of my parents understood fairness.

  in my family there were the haves and the have nots.

  this was an interesting thread to me because I remember exactly when I realized my mother was a psychopath....

  I was 7. had just turned 7 and I was watching her belittle my dad, and then lie to him, and I remember looking at her thinking she was completely crazy.

  It was quite a scary thing when your 7, but it also was very freeing to me.

  western side of NC

  HEY! Who said Western NC???

  just trying to do a geographical area. it doesn't have to be the western side of NC. it is a 12 hour drive to the coast of NC for some of us though!!!!

  we're starting out early!

  whyamihere, buttlight, and myself kicked off the meetup early at the brewpub along with seeing the panthers kick the crap out of da bears.

  anyways, we are posting the pics from the bar and will be adding some more as the night moves along.
