I Want a Tat.

ok, so im now a big fan of the show miami ink.

after watching this show and seeing the amazing artists and their work i have realized that i want a tat.

i want something with my kids names in it.

I wouldn't worry about being marked and I don't know if it's df'ing offense to get one while still active. Did you grow up in the troof or were you brainwashed like me? I had 3 when I became a dub. One on my ankle that everyone saw all the time...what am I gonna do..wear bobbie socks with heels to go with all that meeting garb?

Just make sure you really want what's gonna be written! I have one I don't want anymore.

I think going with something about your kids would be nice. Let us know what you decide on!! Be careful....they can be addictive!!!!

My Cake is Doughy in the Middle

i am trying to help my wife out by baking a pound cake.

i volunteered after going over the recipe.

actually it seemed simple enough and i thought it would be a snap to do.. i was wrong.. the problem is it looks fine in the oven.

Yeah, my question is the same....how long are you cooking it for? It sounds like you need to cook it longer.

We just moved to a rental house that's old and the heater element in the oven cooks on like nuclear! I can't cook anything over 300 degrees cause it will burn. I've done 2 cakes and I keep checking em every once in a while. Stick a knife (or toothpick) into the middle and see if anything sticks to it. If it does keep cooking until it comes out clean.

Why Do Inactive Ones Sometimes Go Back To The Organization?

I was inactive for about 2 years and was on my way back when I found this place. I was inactive beacuse I just couldn't cut it and figured I wasn't good enough to keep up with all the spiritual ~~rules~~ guidelines. So for 2 years I lived in fear that I would die in the big A, Jehovah's big thumb would come down and smush me. I drank myself silly, went back to smoking and somewhere in there got married to a worldly guy and had a little girl.

I figured I don't mind if I die but I don't want my little munchkin to suffer the same fate. All I thought about was this one article about a woman who had a baby and went back...I kept repeating it over and over in my head and decided it would be the best path for me. So I was planning on going back when I did the NO-NO. Googled the dubs on the internet...and here I am.

I think everyone has their own reasons for wanting to go back to the org.

I can't believe no one has mentioned David Brin's Startide Rising , Sundiver and Uplift War all in the Uplift series. I still read those guys every once in a while. I WISH someone would do a movie on them!

i got rid of all my led zeppelin (satanic backtracking and all that baloney).

all my deep purple.

Oh yeah...after my glam phase and right before I joined the witnesses I was so into Rage against the Machine. I went through all my music thinking it was the right thing to do. Geesh..what was I thinking???

Rage was gone..too many explicatives

Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megadeath...those devilish bands

Man, I can't remember all the ones I tossed..I remember tossing books, my tarot cards, jewelery..etc. etc...

I think I may have to go get that Rage CD again ....don't remeber the name of the disc but it had the "Killing in the name of" song on it....every single song was good!

this band can be a local, main stream etc..... my favorite local band was little blue crunchy things, they were from milwaukee, wi.

hello to all im new to the site i have been looking for about two weeks now .i was at brooklyn bethel from 1994 -1999 and i worked in the barber shop office blgd.

(25 columbia heights ) .i just wanted to say hi and that many of your post have really been helpful to me as i have gone though some tough times on all levels .

Sick and Twisted Wishful Thinking

today i was one the phone with my mom and she was telling me that as she was driving back home she saw alot of smoke coming up near her house.

as she got closer she found out it was an old abandoned factory.

then she said, "i was hoping it was the church".

Yep..it's sad..I used to think the same way. About churches, worldly people...my own relatives. Hell, I used to secretly wish that my mom and brother would die so they would at least have a shot in the new system. It's absolutle ridiculous!!!

Very Cool...I like the purple sky one the best ...it's not something you see too often Thanks for sharing!!

Reminds me kinda when I was in Oregon a while back. Some of the shots actually look like the smokeys here except the smokeys aren't as peaked. I used to drive up there all the time on my own (I really miss it!!!!) and take pics like you do. Seeing your shots brings back alot of memories....man, getting caught in work, bills etc really sucks....I think it's time I take a trip.
