Because I love running and I am going to start training for the Durango Double.
It's in Colorado (Durango) on October 6 + 7.

Has anyone ever trained for anything like this??? I've done marathons before but never anything this crazy! I need advice!
I'll check out training programs online but would love to know if any of ya'll apostates share this craziness...?

What do you do when you're really nervous? (new pic)
by MsMcDucket ini have this habit of cutting my hair.
the longest that i was able to let it grow was to the top of my shoulders.

When I get nervous I act like a moron in public.
MrsMcD: That looks reallyt nice -can't see your face but you look to be pretty hot!
That style you have is my favorite for black hair. (sorry if that is sort of a lame comment!) -

Kia or Hyundai?
by confusedjw inkia spectra 5 or hyundai elantra gt hatchback?
any experience with either of these cars?
they both drive great and are much more affordable than the honda and toyotas.
-
Kudra
I've had friends that have bought both: cheaply made, all.
Can you get a used Toyota? Great cars and can be similar in size etc to the two you mentioned. Also, one that is only a few years old will be cheaper and still a fine reliable car.
Personally I like my Ford Ranger. -

So, what is the "proof" that we find by typing in watchtower.org in whois.net? Proof that the webmaster's email is [email protected]? I think a bunch of us knew THAT already... Do you have a scoop? If so quit teasin' and give us the dirt.

Seattle PI Article on JWs (Gag Alert!!!)

The reporter just reported what she or he heard. It was the quotes form the JWs that were totally inaccurate: i.e. we always go back to the bible for the facts and other b.s. along those lines.
But the reporter was just reporting verbatim what he heard... -

how do guys ask you out on a date these days?
by Calliope inever feel like you've been sequestered from normal human interaction for too long?.
since my split (from hubby), i've been wondering what the rules are these days.
in my earlier days, i was a partying stoner (well, a closet one) and i didn't date guys as much as end up in a closet or in a parked car, hot tub... okay you got the picture.. so, i've been email bantering back and forth with this guy i used to work with and yesterday, got this email:.

Well, I have had to learn the hard way since gettin out that a lot of guys hang out with girls in a purely platonic way...
imagine that!! So make sure he is really actually into you- not like the witnoids, where if a memeber of the opposite sex glances your way wedding bells automatically ring... -
Kudra
Hmm. How would the guy who "invented the internet" reconcile that with the organization that fears the internet more than death itself...?

God Almighty!
by BlessedStar infunny how simple it is for people to trash god .
and then wonder why the world's going to hell.
how can we expect god to give us his blessing and his protection if we demand he leave us alone?
-
Kudra
The world is NOT going to hell.
Conditions are better for humans now more than ever. Look up life spans, infant mortality, etc etc. Would you rather live in Victorian America? the dark ages? Think you would be happier when slavery was rampant EVERYWHERE instead of the relatively fewer places it operates today?
The fact that the world is going to hell is a myth perpetuated by fundy religious types who want to sucker the masses into thinking that we need to appease the mighty spirits who live on the mountain -uuh, oops I mean pray to god- to alter things here on earth.

aww, how nice, the FDS are resolving not to get involved with internet pornography.
What morons have to do something like that?
Reminds me of that "1-yr (?) chastity vow that these kids (...theeese kids nowadays...) took awhile ago that was exposed by some Stanford (?) study as %50 having taken the vow and SHOVED it.
It's a cool thought that the FDS have to struggle against porn.
:)
