yes- what an f-ing weirdo. And ...what is it with the British reporting-writing style?? I knew it was UK by like, the first two sentences. Even before I read anything about the location...
In regards to the birthday thing- the Hustler family could have just told the reporter that the girl "turned 16" that day and he wrote it down as "having celebrated the 16th birthday" just as he could have written "she observed her birthday that day'
Just a thought.
could you kids just come up with some suggestions??
i love to cook, but i have such a hard time coming up with new dinner ideas.

Be careful with the coleslaw- I hear bad mayo can really get ya.

i know dreams are our brains way of dealing with problems or situations that are occuring in our life.
the experts say it is healthy and to an extent i believe this.
how can it be healthy when you wake up shaking and trying to mouth "jehovah" or "help".
Wost dream- when I was a kid- ~11 or so I had a dream that I was not making it through Armageddon.
I used to have the random "demon" dreams- like when I woke I KNEW there was a presence in the room... yeaaaaah, no more of those since I am no longer at the kingdom hall...
The dreams should go away... I promise! If it has been too long for you, see a doctor- no shame in it!
Also, if I have spicy food or BEANS before bed I get all sorts of weird dreams. No nightmares, but just bizarre very realistic stuff.
There is some truth to the bean-dream thing. Some enzyme or other thing in beans trigger mental gymnastic when u sleep. I learned about it when I was in skool.
i am not criticizing those who have gone through depression or a traumatic experience.
nor am i criticizing those who were raised as a witness as i was.. but i am curious to know if any of you have seen a person from the territory, not a relative of a witness, no recent tragedies or emotional problems, not a young runaway, not a drug user, but an educated adult who began a study with jehovah's witnesses, and eventually got baptized.. when i was a missionary, i met a gilead couple who had been in their assignment for 19 years.
i asked them about that.
mm- my mom signed up when I was ~7 or 8 I think... so like 25 years ago.
She was raised Catholic- not too hard-core. She was always into religion- studied with the 7th Days until she compared them tothe JWs. There were things (theological, chronological? who knows) that were not explained to her liking in the 7th Days so she decided to go with the JWs.
When they met, my dad was pretty spiritual- traveled around with a priest (I know, it sounds weird). But ever since I've known my dad (since birth, or whenever I can first remember) he has been a humanist.
I mean the only times our parents fought was over JW stuff. My dad used to get *super* pissed... though for the life of me I don't know what things JW-related could have caused that big of a disagreement between them! My mom would be crying and stuff! I guess it would be a good thing to figure out. We used to say that dad would get "that look" when JW things would come up. Gawd! now I want to know what it was!!
A mystery!

Mmmm, well I was about to say my mom... but she was alwasy a "searcher"... I think since her parents died. She came into the JWs straight from the 7th Day Adventists.
LOL about the non-english speakerrs- so, what, they are studying just to learn English better? Ha ha.
I ask because when my mom was first in "the truth" she tried to get my dad to study and he only would with the Spanish congregation- he was brushing up on his spanish at the time! LOL. My dad never wanted to be a JW. Oh yeah, he has an advanced degree, no trauma in his life, is happy and even-keeled. In other words, no need for the crazy JWs in his world.
have you ever heard a female referred to as a "pervert"?.
haha beks.
me too!
