in response to this thread, i must point out that there are homely female jws aplenty who hook up with ok looking or even good looking men.. well i'm not wrong, am i?

Oh HELL no.

All the congregations I have been in there were nice, fun pretty sisters scrabbling and vying for the bottom-of-the-barrel brothers.

And these guys would strut around KNOWING that all these sisters wanted them just because they were single brothers. Made me sick!!

These guys wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell in the "world".

And all the uncool or ugly chicks just never got married. AND I am happy as hell I was one of those... cause otherwise I'd probably be trapped in some dub marriage... ugh.

a while back, someone mentioned that since the word lurker has a sinister connotation, another term should be coined for those who come to the board but don't participate.. i suggest non-active participant or nap.

i came to this forum for seven years before i joined, so i know how difficult it can be to take that first step.. snowbird.

i really havent been on here in a while, but recently a coworker, who i respect, told me of an "incident" that happened that i really cant explain..so for the hel lof it ..thought id share :).

for clarity here some background on my friend/coworker:he is a siek indian, the type that wear a turbin/bushy beard, very sensitive as to being "brown" in an agressive way ie: not the type to take any crap from anyone..., very smart, anyways he is about to get married now, but, 3 yrs ago in his dorm room at the university of windsor in ont canada his roommate left for the evening.

he takes a shower, then goes to the mirror to shave and says from the corner of his eye he sees a flash of "something" go by him very quckly/ faintly.

Northern/Central California meetup ~end of June/Mid July???

i will be coming out to the sierras/reno/lake tahoe this summer from the end of june through mid july.

don't know my exact dates yet- depends on the dates for snowmelt in the high sierra.. anyone up for a meet-up then??

we had such a blast last year .

Well- let's have a vote: getting a cabin these can sleep from 4 to 16 so any amount could be accomodated) or each getting their own hotel rooms or camping.

I would be fine with any of these options but we'll make it official here:

Hotels?

Camping?

If you know you are coming, pipe up with your choice. I think the consensus on the date is the weekend of July 10, 11, 12.

I just checked to see if there were angry comments from active dubs... no such luck :P

The new site looks GREAT. Huge improvement over the other site (looks-wise). FreeMinds was the first apostate site that I found (not sure how I got there) when I was finally free enough to search for info on the WTS. Hopefully there are lots of exiting dubs doing the same thing now!!

Shall we tentatively think about the weekend of July 10, 11, 12 (F-S-S)?

And location? any ideas? It doesn't *have* to be in S or N Lake Tahoe- but it would be pretty cool. And probably easier to organize.

i don't want hopscotch's thread diverted anymore than it has been so i'm starting this one.. this is an opportunity to speak up and let us know how you actually feel about jesus christ.

let's face it, for good or ill he was a major influence in all of our lives.

frankly, i think the biblical jesus is despicable and i'll be posting my views in full tomorrow after a good nights sleep.. jesus should be ashamed of himself .
