What goes on in your neighborhood?

i thought it would be fun to find out information that you think we would not know about the area that you live in.

last night on the news i learned that london has been closing its pubs at 11 p.m. and they are about to change that(i didnt know that before)

i live in the south (usa) and heres some things that you might find interesting:

Swalker - nope no Roo for a pet, Neighbour had one, couldn't be pottie trained and liked tormenting the dogs. Was a little red, grew up to be a bloody big red. Has bought her joey back once.

Mostly the Roos get hit by cars, or run into them. Not particulary bright creatures.

Steve Irwin is creepy. Not sure i am that keen on really exxxcited people. Don't get many of his programs here, we get lots of his annoying ads on TV.

What was the ratio of witnesses in your town?

back in 1988, at the height of our activity here, we were 400 witnesses in a town of 30,000.. that was 1 witness per 75 population, which is alot !!!!!!.

today, the city merged with the town next door, and there is about 450 witnesses for 125,000 population.

this means only 1 witness per 270.. gee, did the witnesses decrease here !!!.

I live in a town of 30,000. We have one KH, but quiet large, they own a few of the business's in town. I think my other half sister said about 4,000 in town. Most of those older and baptised.

Countryguy - not so keen on your quiet type of neighbourhood.

what fun this is...

I see horses, trees, red dirt. drive up the road to pub on every corner, alot open 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. (mining town).

Western State ozzies definitly have a language of their own. Meals consist of Beer, steak, chips (fries), beer, fried onion (it's a bloody vegie ain't it), did i mention beer.

Prayers and Support Please

hi all, i don't post very much.

but i am so worried that i might lose my sister.

she was recently diagnosed with a very rare neuroendocrine cancer, it has invaded her liver, pancreas and probably a vertebrae.

i just got back from montreal.

i was there a bit longer than expected this time.. my granddaughter was christened megan elizabeth on saturday.

after the service and the dinner i met with my two daughters to talk about my sister and her recent death.. my brother in toronto was holding a similar opportunity in toronto for some of her friends.. i read the post i made at my sister robin rip mar.

How do you feel about promiscuous sex?

i work with a guy who sleep with a lot of different woman, and when i say a lot, i mean a lot!

i know what some are thinking, "oh he probably sleeps with a few and makes it sound like more.

" well i would think that too, if i did not actually meet a lot of these woman and work with some of them and they admit to sleeping with him on a regular basis.

A lot of women who sleep with lots of partners are looking for someone to fall in love with them, especially young women.

and they don't know how else to get that mans attention

" well i would think that too, if i did not actually meet a lot of these woman and work with some of them and they admit to sleeping with him on a regular basis.

I would not cheat just to cheat; I would have to be in love with someone as much or more deeply than with my husband (and I would get a seperation first). No one night stand would be worth breaking up my marriage.

I agree with this, cheating is not valuing the people in your life. You want someone else, move out!

As for the happiness these woman feel, I don't see it. They seemed confused in life, depressed, lost and any other negative I could place there to convey my thought. Most drink and party a lot, which goes with the life style.

Girls I know, who are feeling this way are looking for companionship, that they just don't know how to find it any other way. Especially where i live. They don't know how else to look for a partner.

It's incredibly hard to find THE man you are wanting to spend your life with. (i've been lucky)

There are some girls who are happy to switch partners each weekend. That's the lifestyle they choose.

FHN - They promote the perfect mate here. But after 20 what hasn't changed shape. (i never was skinny, always well... greatly volumptous)

Sounds like a dickhead...

lol yeap I agree, is he about 16 yrs old...

As far as the moral judgements go, hey, they all appear to be consenting adults and the rest is just none of our business.
