Heard a new joke today.

C.O / D.O leaving the `truth`???
by jambon1 inthis is probobly a long shot & i doubt it`s happened but does anyone know if any circuit overseers or district overseers have ever left.
if so, in what circumstances?

Joe did the fade away thing.
He was our C/O for many years. Then he left the circuit to take care of his elderly mum.(non JW)
He joined my cong and was promptly made PO. He was Po for a few years, then stepped down as an elder and stopped coming.
Word is that he was 'stumbled ' when we had the doctrinal change re the Generation. It makes sense because the "new light" on generation came in i think 94/95, and thats when he came off the circuit.
Anyways, he and his wife are now divorced. It turns his wife Gene didnt believe in God. So she had been living a lie for many years whilst on the circuit. Joe has a 10 or 11 year old child. Yes, he was having an affair with a worldly chick whilst on the circuit.
He was my favourite CO though. Always had time for young ones in the cong, his public speaking skills were second to none. And he new the the bible inside out.

Fulfillment of Prophecy
by daniel-p inok, i'm going to try to phrase this as articulately as i can - i'm not completely sure what i'm asking here, but if you have any thoughts on the matter please comment.
my question is this: do you ever feel like all that wt prophecy about the fall of babylon makes sense when you watch the news or read the newspaper?
sometimes a member of my family or a friend will rattle off on some bit of news they heard regarding the pope or a country's leader that seems to fall in line with the watchtower's take on revelation and i get all alarmed and alert - sort of a subconscious reaction.

Pol Pots Paradise

I agree with Yadda on this.
The Org. cannot be compared to the killings fields and cambodia. Ive been to cambodia, was born there and fled the regime. Lost plenty of family during 1975-79
Pot Pot is an evil man. I am suprised and still shocked that the world stood by and watched while Pol Pot killed innocent people.
Much like the Mugabe regime, Saddam in iraq, Bosnia/Serbia and many more as we speak now.
And if the Org had the manpower to kill off the world, I am quite confident that they would not do that.
And If they did kill off everyone, who will they witness to?

Is Jehovah Mentally Unstable?
by THE SHOOTIST ina friend of mine showed me as interesting scripture, ex.
4:24 that talks about jehovah showing up in person to kill moses, but was talked out of it by moses' wife because from what the bible says she circumcised her son and threw the foreskin at his feet.
she then called him a blood-smeared bridegroom, referring to the circumcision and the lord left him alone.

after the assembly was over i just happened to see a father congratulating his child for being baptized.

Well if you are apart of the catholic religion and many other christian religions, they baptise or christen their kids at a few months old...
A few months old.
So compare the JW's to other religions with respect to the age of the person being baptised, Jw's look pretty good.
