  How Can Someone Who's Multiple-Chemical Sensitive Find a Paying Job?

  Has anyone noticed how many jws are "multiple chemical sensitive?" I have to wonder if it's a real ailment.

  Well, the main problem is that the symptoms are often so broad that they could be caused by almost anything. Diagnosis is extremely hard in such circumstances.

  I've known many people with this, and similar ailments, and one thing I've learned is that their pain is real. Where that pain comes from, or is triggered by, and under which cirumctances, is all dependent on a host of unknown variables.

  That's pretty sad. A lot of those states have high obesity rates, which I'm sure of a factor. As far as one of the more underlying causes, those states have the poorest economies as well, and lowest rates of education. Having poor health goes hand in hand with those other things.

  That's it in a nutshell. I chose #2. Some can't handle the thought of the shunning consequences. They choose option #1 and live a lie.

  And if the hammer falls I choose 2 as well. I stick to a low profile as long as they don't bother me, but if they start getting all up in my case, I'll make it short and sweet.

  i have known many republicans who claim to be libs all the time, thinking that republicans are somehow closer to libertarians then democrats are.

  i tell them, no, on social issues, dems are a lot closer.

  THe problem I have with the Democratic party is the same problem I have witht he Republican Party: they just can't help themselves when it comes to telling other people how to run their lives. Republicans like to tell what women can do with their bodies, and Democrats tell families how to raise and educate their kids.

  But I attended some pointless elders meetings in my time...BTW I do not approve of lying about recording it . Sound like a cheap trick.

  Cheap trick? No more a cheap trick than what the elders use. If I needed to, I would have no qualms about lying to these white-washed empty suits.

  I will never meet with the elders at the Kingdom Hall, nor at my house. If it happens, I'll meet them at a nuetral location. I think this is key in managing the normally confrontational style of these meetings, since being in public holds everyone to a degree of civility that normally doesn't exist in a prive setting.

  Also, I will never debate about anything I believe, because I know that under no circumstances would the elders ever let down their defenses in their capacity as a judicial committee. There are only two possibel outcomes in that situation for people like us: 1) Lie to them and say you believe in everything they do and want to come back, or 2) Tell them the truth and get DF'd.

  And the number one sign: if you think government should stay the hell out of people's private business -- except when kidnapping citizens and rendering them to secret overseas torture prisons, snooping around the bedrooms of consenting adults, policing a woman's uterus, or conducting warrantless wire taps, you are no Libertarian.

  Right on. Shows the shallow hypocrisy among a lot of mainstream conservatives. When they call for "less government," what they're really calling for is less government for themselves and more government for everyone else.

  What do you do for canker sores?

  because mine is hurting like a mofo here... it's at the back of my cheek, where my lower and upper jaw connect,and i can't close my teeth without chomping on it because its swollen out.

  my lymph glands under my neck hurt to the touch, the entire side of my head down to my shoulders hurt.. i've tried peroxide mouthwash, salt mouthwash, orajel (which help for about 30 seconds), and aspirin placed on it (which helps for about ten minutes).

  today, at work, i put a bunch of salt directly on it which just stung like the dickens for about 10 minutes and now i'm back to square one with the ongoing pain.

  perhaps it was a change of diet that you didn't recall when you posted, I suggest.

  That's possible. Also the stress thing. In the past few days my wife and I have had a rather shocking bit of "news" that will, if it "plays out", change our lives permanently.
