Caliber, not just spelling... we're talking 3rd grade grammar. In that case, the offendee deserves as much Oxford dictionary bashing by Nazis as they get.

When bad spelling trolls leave, new bad spellers (studies, JW's, JW lovers) arrive
by OnTheWayOut ini will totally leave names out, as many get all huffy about that.
it's also possible that i am wrong, though i doubt it.. it's just that some trolls seem to deliberately be terrible spellers to make themselves look more naive and when they leave here for whatever reason, some new bad speller comes along in less than a week with an impossible problem or a complicated love situation with a jw or they are a firm believer with questions.
just watch out.

Am I the only one who assumes that the "new" trolls spell as badly as the "old" trolls because the new trolls ARE the old trolls.....
I thought that was the point of the OP....

Bethels could still serve as pilgrimage shrines-quietlyleaving
by Lady Lee ini've been here a long time and this comment by quietlyleaving finally hit me.
bethels could still serve as pilgrimage shrines.
while the wts criticizes the many people in the world for their pilgrimages they just don't see that those tours of bethel which are so organized are the exact same thing.. you get a tour of a publishing company.

OTWO, they could have board cut-outs of witnesses in exotic "native dress" popping out from the sides with their literatrash extended from their hands!

And giving respect to the English language and the tongue in which you speak does not mean you are a grammar nazi. Just as not wearing sweats to the grocery store does not mean you're trying to be a supermodel.

Interesting topic, lady lee. Yes, the more I look back on it, the more it seemed like a pilgramage for witnesses to be coming all over the country to see some rather mundane activities, and therfore completely absurd that they would want to do so. Of course, in their mind, it is hyped beyond belief as "Jehovah's earthly organization in progress."
When I was a Bethelite I started to see how it wasn't really like that... the overseers wanted everything to be working just right for the tour groups, and the young kids were reminded to look smart and not to fool around or otherwise behave their age. I was like, what a minute, we're just normal people and this is a place with work that needs to be done, not some kind of Willy Wonka factory run by magic. To be sure, they run a tight ship at the various Bethel facilities, and it can be a model facility of effeciency. But effeciency itself is hardly an indication that God is in charge. After all, it was Ford who invented the assembly line, and Taylor who perfected the transformation of humans into servo-units for the production machine. Jehovah has nothing to do with it; it's hard-ass work and rational management choices.

Interesting how the 2,000+ year old portion of the binding is still current (the Bible part) but the less than 30 year old portion (the Reasoning book) is out-of-date and incorrect.
Good point!

It's a colloquialism for sexual Peking (sp?), ie: "why Mary Poppins, you've arrived!", "Just so, daddyOh" (face).
LOL--never knew that. Well, within the context, I'd assume most English persons would make the correct assumption of the more common definition of arrive. Unless, of course, if their mind is in the gutter. ...

Yes, about grammar, we all make mistakes, no big deal... but people who pay no heed to the English language are just pathetic. have they ever read a book in their lives? First off, know the difference between THERE, THEY'RE AND THEIR. It's an easy mistake, but habitual misuse makes you look like an idiot. No one expects you to be a master at grammar, just to know 5th-grade basics.

Personally, I can't wait for Simons much-heralded ignore feature. As soon as we get that thing I'm gonna be using it like it's going out of style. I can already think of a half-dozen who I'd relish the chance of making invisible.

Updating their old books to not use obsolete terms is hardly an indication of things getting "brighter and brighter." It just indicates an embarrasing remnant of something they'd rather forget... like saying the end would come in the generation of 1914. Something getting brighter would mean its getting better, and JWism is defintely not getting better. They just keep polishing that turd.
