What if h1n1 vaccine testing reveals that 1 in 200 have a severe adverse reaction, while, say 1 in 1000 with swine flu have an equivalent outcome. That could be entirely possible, except in this case everyone's going apeshit over a flu that is likely no more, or even less, deadly than the regular fucking flu. Don't even get me started.

1980's
by asilentone indo you think people are smarter today than people living in the 1980's?
sometimes i wish there was internet back in the 80's.
if there was no internet today, i would probably be attending the kingdom hall again regularly, probably reaching out to be ms again then eventually become an elder sometime down the road.

h1n1 hasn't even been tested. I'll take my chances with nature's good ol' piggie flu.

Falling Asleep at Work
by daniel-p inso who has a job that is boring enough to fall asleep at?
i've never yet fallen asleep on the job, but it would be very esy to do so based on how inane most of my work is, despite the fact that i actually do use my brain.
sometimes it's just so dry and technical i can't keep it up.. i have a nice fancy chair that leans back to my specifictions of resistance, so it would easy to tilt back and snooze a bit.

From Wikihow:
"Human beings can rest in any number of ways, and some can even sleep with their eyes open, as can many mammals and birds (known as lagophthalmos). The most effective way to rest with your eyes open is awareness meditation or a derivative of the many awareness meditative techniques, which are relaxing and good for you, but do not correspond to the same thing as being asleep. Some individuals, especially children, can and do truly sleep with their eyes open, but this is considered a symptom of a sleep-related problem, and not a good thing." http://www.wikihow.com/Rest-with-Your-Eyes-Open

My Neighbor Spoke To Me For 1 Hour As To Why I Need To Accept Christ!
by minimus inmy neighbor near my workplace brought a piece of mail delivered to him by mistake.
he and his employee/student from his martial arts studio came by and he began preaching to me about christ.
he's a pentecostal christian who has dreams and visions of events that have supposedly happened that he prophesied beforehand.

We just aren't made to sit at these computers all day.
Do you remember when computers were first becoming ubiquitous among the workplace, and there were all these public-oriented information campaigns on how you should get up every 15 minutes, hold your body a certain way, never spend more than like 2 hours at one sitting, and on and on? I think now they're just like "fuck it--we'll just adapt and turn into troglodytes".
