I for one, am glad to see the Hispanics speaking up and making themselves heard. Many immagrants are not more politically active because they come from countries where free speech is not allowed or discouraged. It should be interesting to see the results of their boycott.
EDIT: upside/down - you are one paranoid person. I live in California, we have more Hispanics than the rest of the country combined. We also have more social programs and better public health care than any other state. But our taxes are lower than about 10 other states.

Dan Sydlik dies, the last of the moderating forces.
by SadElder inour good friend dan sydlik died today about 2 pm eastern time.
he was the last of the moderating forces on the gb.
lately he has had little influence among the ted (aka the boss) jaracz (head of the bethel cia - the service department) henchmen and loyalists.

"Who was more responsible Hitler for giving the order to kill or the soldier who pulled the trigger or turned the gas chamber valve??"
I guess i just view the whole matter differently. I believe the person who pulled the trigger is the one who is more responsible - not implying, of course, that the person giving the orders is innocent. In my mind, it is irresponsible by trying to absolve a parent from guilt in letting their child die. They made the decision, they will live with it. Yes, it is wrong of those who taught them what to believe - but those parents CHOSE to believe it and chose to ACT on it. Do we not have free will? I'm sorry, but I just can't see it any other way.
Is it such a sin for me to have fond memories of Dan Sydlik? I fully realize that he may have been a full contributor to the unloving and deluded policy of no blood, or merely have not done anything about it. Yes, it is wrong and there is no excuse, no redeeming factor for him. But I also do choose to acknowledge my good memories of him. I don't see anything unhealthy about that. -

Let me ask you this: Who is more responsible, the GB members for their blood policy, or the parents of those children?
Maybe my view of this is all wrong. I've never had a relative die from the blood policy. Of course, I MYSELF almost died of the policy - but I have absolutely no animosity toward the GB for that - I believed it myself so it was my choice. My point is, much more responsibility goes toward those parents. -

Current GB—None of the 1975 GB left
by AuldSoul init just dawned on me that not one single person from the governing body of 1975 is on the governing body today.. here are a few other facts about the current gb:.
geoffrey jackson was 20 years old in 1975, he was not at risk of being drafted for viet nam because he was too young at the time.. sam herd and guy pierce were 21 the year sputnik was launched.. gerrit losch was 20 at the dawn of flower power and the free love era in the united states.
of course, his circumstances were very different in the country in which he was located.. david splane, stephen lett, and anthony morris were all of an age to be at risk for the viet nam draft.. a brief rundown of historical context for 7 of the 10 current gb members.

"Geeze I don't believe you guys, you're crying over the death of a monster."
I don't think any of the GB memerbs are monsters. Deluded, misquided, self-righteous, yes, but not monsters. They believe they are doing the right thing. That doesn't absolve them of responsibility, of course, or make anything OK, but being a monster implies being a sadist - which Dan Sydlik was not. Some of us have good memories of him - and I think it is apropriate to acknowledge him through that. -

Eat a Placenta?
by skeeter1 inimagine, you are tom cruise/chruch of scientology publicist.
you have a public relations problem - the public thinks tom & his group are wacked out, cult members.. then, tom cruise says to a reporter that he's ready to eat the placenta of his new child after it births.. lol!
this really helps the church of scientology/tom's next movie's popularity.. i realize that today's fathers don't want to wait in a waiting room with a cigar.

I think I'll join in the fray here:
Eduardo, not that it matters to you, but your'e a complete asshole and jerk as well as completely inconsiderate and crass. In two words: fuck you. Oh, and beep beep, that goes for you to.
Just in case you "don't get it" - how DARE you com eon here, insult the guy like that, mention his weight in public and offer condescending support. Also insinuating he brought this on himself by living a double life when you know perfectly well he is minor living under someone else's roof and basically has no choice. Here he is going through the biggest change in his life and you insult and demean him further by mentioning how your are shocked he has no means of support, a place to live, etc... You are so out of touch its unbelievable.
Oh, and about the lawyer thing, what lawyer has the time to spend on online forums, posting to people he doesnt even know? I call bullshit. Youre probably a paralegal. 30 years ago. -

"You would think the exspense in nigeria wouldn't be near the cost of the US but they still couldn't give these people air conditioning ? or some walls to keep the deadly snakes or the tse tse flys away ."
Well, for air conditioning you need expensive machinery and metals and insulation - AND power. And without a ventilation system walls would make things a bit hot and stinky, eh? -

"Splane: the epitome of dumb dubness. That guy is probably the most obviously deluded, deranged person I have ever heard."
Im sorry, for some reason I was thinking of Steven Lett, not David Splane. The above perception was of Lett. -
