if you could make and distribute bumper stickers to use as a tool to open the minds of jws or cult members, what would you put on them?.
keep in mind that you would like to open thier minds, yet not offend them.
something that any person could stick on their bumper and the jws would not be able to find reason to label them as opposers or apostates.

hello all.... sat around the campfire this weekend and laughed our butts off coming up with jeff foxworthy type humor.
it was so funny we thought it would be fun to run a thread here... i'll start.... "if your only yearly vacation is a "trip" to the district convention...you might be a jw.".
If you've had to sit in front of three older men and describe in graphic terms just what happened with sister so-and-so in the car last night-
Given a public talk about the trap of recreation and then cut out before the Watchtower to make a tee time- (actually happened)
in putting some final touches on the letter to my mother (yes the one i've been preparing for about six months,) i came across this article from a 1984 watchtower.
beware of presumptuousness!.
who does not want to avoid making mistakes?
I just printed it and read the whole thing to my girlfriend. Much of it brought tears to my eyes as I'm going thru the same thing with my family.
Brilliant work again Confession, Thank you for sharing.

Confession, I've just finished reading your letter to your mom and I have to say that I've read a lot of great stuff on this forum but that is one of the best.
Your research, references and logical reasoning is presented in an impeccable manner making it very difficult for anyone to honestly avoid it.
You've taken many of the scattered thoughts I've had and distilled them into a fabulous, cohesive statement.
I hope the best for you with your mom, in the very least she'll have to respect where your coming from.
Would you mind if I added the letter to my collection?
Btw, I loved this comment! (amongst many other great ones)
You have to make it through these three layers of propaganda and institutional manipulation in order to finally give yourself permission to conduct an objective investigation into this organization. It’s an awful lot to have to go through for the simple right to use your head.

If you think that Freedom of Religion means that you can go and tell everyone else that they shouldn't be practicing their religion...who else could you be?

I'm in New Hampshire Lady Lee, Thanks!
just called their media line:.
http://www.jw-media.org/contact.htm.
asked a young man named bryce where is the official press release on the cano pedophile situation.
Lisa, that was awesome!! You did such a great job in pressing him about the Org.'s offical stance and so on. With expressions like "so the bottom line is" , "seems like a major shift in theology" , " could you clarify" and very pointed questions--"Does this mean that other religions are not blessed by God?" "So in that sense Jehovah's Witnesses are no different than any other religion?" ect. ect you pinned him down and controlled the conversation like a world-class reporter!
I'm amazed he went into so much doctrinal material, you were very skillful in drawing out so much that really didn't have a whole lot to do with the case.
I loved the part where he said that no one can be a hypocrite forever, eventually the lies will be found out and exposed. How prophetic!
Thanks so much, Onesong

in his book " the zen teachings of jesus",michael leong presents a very different way of understanding some of the things jesus taught--thru the eyes of eastern thought.. here's a couple of examples.
(he first explains that we should try to view jesus as a poet teaching us how to live beautifully.).
when jesus is questioned as to the greatest commandment and his reply "you must love god with your whole heart, mind and strength.
Good to hear hear from you Tetra, like the new avatar. What kind of axe are you pickin'?

Steve Lowry, I couldn't agree more...nothing like being open minded and realizing that you don't, nor ever will have all the answers.
