  i have heard that phrase several times on the jw broadcast, uttered by gb members!

  "the governing body has asked me to bring to your attention (whatever)".

  aren't you the governing body?

  This was said to me by a couple of elders. "The body of elders have had a meeting about me" I asked why I hadn't been consulted beforehand, no answer to that so I told them to get out my house!

  All this because one of the elders was a lying dishonest Shmuel and I decided to fight my corner. I remember shaking with absolute rage at the fact non of this was my fault!

  Wife Equates Having A Good Marriage With Being "Spiritual"

  so i've noticed lately that my wife seems to think that in order to have a good marriage both people must be "spiritual".

  she thinks being close as a family is all about family worship night, field service and praying together.

  i know where these ideas are coming from but it is very hard to combat them.

  Someone updated the AM Hack list LOL

  there's an email circulating amongst those in the org saying that "apostates" are updating/have updated the ashley madison hacked list with gb members, cos, and elders/elderettes.

  can anyone verify this?

  I think most of us here are aware that there will be many active jws no matter their rank will be included in the hacked list. Be interested to see who pops up as it starts to filter through.

  since i left the organization, i have learned so many new and deep things.

  i know some in the watchtower are intelligent, however it has been my experience, that most i've dealt with are.

  .. well quite inept.

  What woke you up?

  in march of 2014, i was a very active jw, a ministerial servant, gave a public talk, was an attendant for the memorial, and one of 4 cleaning captains for an international convention of 40,000+ attendees.

  so what woke me up?

  an innocent comment from a co-worker about the candice conti court case rang a bell that could not be unrung.

  How Scary Are Circuit Overseers Now?

  back in the day, when the co came to the congregation, it was quite stressful for the elders and often, the rank and file.

  I always observed somewhat of a Jesus complex within the KH I was previously in. Pioneers who could never make it on time for the meeting to start always arrived early when CO visited, Elders on their best behavior up on the platform, always commending the person who just gave the answer. Always the same people having the CO and wife over for dinner! The bottom sucking really took on a new level when the CO visited.

  When CO had finished his week, all resumed normal service, late arrivals ETC!
