  well this week's bible reading shows isaiah at 2 kings 20:11 upstaging joshua!

  for the prophet prompted the sun not only to stand still, but to reverse, shadows retracing backward.

  John Class, Assyrian, when will it end? All those names or buzz words make my head hurt!

  I see they are reiterating the fact that the JWs have to OBEY those senile old men in Brooklyn again! This needs to be given to the Australian commission to prove that the governing are responsible for the care of all 8million JWs.

  Forgot to say hehe. It's another case of PSYOP. By using Assyrian JW's will associate this with the Syrian crisis and the subsequent constant threat of a terrorist attack by Isis, Isil, whatever their name is today!

  After Death Communications in the JW community

  my name is jack and i'm looking for after death communications from the jehovah witness community.

  an after death communication (or adc) is when a loved one sends a kind of message to this side of life after their death.

  it can be a dream or smell (like perfume or roses that would be attached to them in memory) or a feeling of their presence.

  Facebook hacking and praying to the big man in the sky!

  yet another clanger over at jwtalk.. so.. just a heads up about this.

  i dont want to discus the rights or wrongs of facebook here.. thats been done to death... just wanted to relate my experience yesterday... so i gets a message from a friend who says ... im getting some strange links from you posted onto my page.. i said like what and he sends a pic of one of the more reserved links... so it turns out someone or something has hacked my account and is posting insppropriate material seemingly on my behalf to other peoples pages!

  iv now changed my password... checked my secority etc.... and deleted the links from my end.

  iv now changed my password... checked my secority etc.... and deleted the links from my end. iv prayed for forgiveness that no reproach will come on Jehovahs name because of it. .........

  Today I got a review that left me scratching my head - what do you make of it?

  it goes with the territory and i'm ok with it.

  She sounds like the average person the JW's target now. I hope actually gets wise to the watchtower bullshit before it really sucks her in.

  I wouldn't worry about this review Brock, most prospective purchasers will probably give up reading the review due to the inconsistency in spelling and grammar.

  By the way, I've read both your books, I hate reading due to my serious lack of concentration, but I can honestly say I couldn't put your two books down. Look forward to a third installment, should you ever write one.

  Are the J.W's reaching a "Tipping point"?

  i haven't been to a meeting in 15 years but my mother and sister are hard as j.w's.

  the brothers they are appointing elders are at best suspect like one guy from my old hall made elder,big time drug used before becoming a j.w his talks are all over the place and would have struggled to make m,s years ago but with at least 60 to 70 % of young ones leaving the pool to pick from is at best reduced.. 2 other recent elders both young and zero life experience both on benefits one not well at all falls asleep all the time.. the decent,kind elders mostly older and are decent people with alot of life experience are burning out fast as there are so few of them left like 3 per congro of 100 publishers.. then you have the rich elders who wouldn't ever think of inviting some poor older or mis-fit person out to the expensive placers they go to as they couldn't afford to go so they are above the r&f and the r&f get pissed off with them.

  then we have the ones who have "put the kingdom 1st" who are now old worn out and barely getting by from welfare cheque to welfare cheque that are saying "the system should have been over many years ago" it's still here and they are struggling everyday.. then there are the pioneers who have a low payed reduced hour job that seem to think anyone who has anything is totally materialistic and looks down on anyone getting a new car buying a house ect.. along with the child abuse issues,the generation change,access to information the the g.b don't want anyone to know ,not to mention the issues around blood.. is there a tipping point coming????

  I think you have pretty much hit the nail on the head. The good elders no longer want to be elders due to the politics of the watchtower, leaving this wide open for the many narcissistic sociopaths becoming elders.

  Pioneers can also be a funny lot too, some think they are a cut above the rest and make it known by mistreating others but get away with it. Again, as above, the narcissist has a field day.

  You pretty much described the KH I was in. There are people in KH that would actually drive you out due to their vindictive behavior! Because the number of people who have privileges within a KH is dropping at an alarming rate, the org is desperate to plug the hole. It's got to the point where they don't care who is appointed, just as long as they follow the watchtower line, anything else is secondary. That includes the mistreatment of so many good people still trapped in this cult!

  i found this article, about a woman who had foster kids and she tortured and abused them, the article says she was a jw.

  my daughter's friend from university had jws call on her this morning.

  they started off by asking her if she knew any witnesses.

  then they said you may have heard things about us but it's not the way it sounds!.

  Problem is with an opener like that, one may as well give up because even if the householder has never heard of Jehovah's witnesses, you can be damn sure as soon as the JW's have gone, curiosity will have the householder hot footing it to the nearest internet enabled device.

  Special talk yesterday?

  Remember when you and indeed all of us were still heavily indoctrinated? Remember what we all were like when we heard of a special talk being given? We were always thinking, is this it? Now put yourself in your mother-in-laws shoes.

  The difference being, your awake and your mother-in-law is still under the mind control, every announcment of a special talk is usually followed by active JW's thinking and saying this is THE talk. Probably more details in the "new light"
