Well, then - maybe they shouldn't say those things, Minimus.
In all seriousness.
i had been studying with the jehovah's witnesses for the last couple years.
they have been interesting study sessions and have learned quite a bit about them and their beliefs.
much of what they teach is what i had learned through personal bible study.. growing up was normal.

i know certain apologists might rub us the wrong way, but let's not treat them like their pieces of sh*t.. and i know certain posters might rub us the wrong way, but let's not be so quick to beat everybody down that's not of our same reasoning.. just saying..
I really cannot recall one, Wha Happened, but I certainly agree with Minimus in that I hope not.
On the other hand, being polite is not the same thing as letting a goat eat down your vegetable garden.

We have an example going on right now, and I started the troll clock.
What has been posted makes me strongly believe that this person is NOT sincere.

Welcome Straw Man... How is Dorothy and the Tin Man?
Presumably checking out those vital religious books the U.N. is hiding in their library, Undercover.
Wonder if the WTBTS has accumulated any late fees?
thank you for this forum.
thank you for your stories which helped wake me up from my delusion.
thank you for letting me join you.
Welcome to the board, EL!

"Just to see what would happen"??? - eh, Isaac?

My weekly Bible study has ended and recently I have stopped attending the meetings and the service in the ministry to see what would happen. It has been two months.
This, combined by the blind support shown in the posts for the JWs, simply does not ring true.

Authentic apologists - those I can take. I think they are pretty few and far between. Authentic JWs don't want to come here.
What I cannot stand are the phonies - people who are lying about being a JW, trolls just here to start trouble.
Those I have no time for - except on the Troll Clock.
if we think of jehovah's witnesses as salesmen and their books and magazines as product and their purpose as gaining customers.
we can gain several important insights into their proprietary theology and its gradual developement over time.. .
who were pastor russell's customers and what product did he offer?.
Terry, that is probably the most horrible thing we can imagine in the ex-JW world.
I had a very good friend - an extremely intelligent man - who left the religion for many years, and then went back in his old age "because he missed his friends".
He knew intellectually that it did not hold a drop of water, but he still "missed his friends".
Such is their svengali-like hold on their people.
