  What are You all Doing Here?

  a friend of mine recommended i peruse this forum because he is of the impression i would find it rewarding.

  the basis of his recommendation was due to a very long friendship and not due to any association (that i do not have) with jehovahs witnesses.

  he considers me his superior in intellect and wants an appraisal of this sight but to be honest i have neither the incliniation nor the time to get in deep enough to comment.

  I have read all your posts so far Tis and I just have one thought ... if you are your friends intellectual superior he must be a blithering idiot. As far as I'm concerned the only "cornerstone" here is Simon who so gratiously puts up with all of our silliness. Posters can come and go without really affecting the direction of this board. If your friend really told you that he is a cornerstone on this forum current direction, I suspect he suffers from a badly overcompensated infiriority complex. This would also explain why he feels you are his intellectual superior

  it may not be the main problem or the only problem and i do agree that this needs to be treated as a criminal issue, but let me give you a very good example of why it is important for a problem like this to also be taken care of congergationally.. my father in law dan fitzwater sr has now been taken care of criminally.

  ( no thanks to the wts) he is in prison for child molestation.

  he has been abusing children for a very long time, but he is only serving a short time in prison.

  I apologize for going on a bit of a rant earlier, but I get my hackles up when somone insinuates that unless others agree with their viewpont they must be of a lesser intelligence. I had enough of of that from my JW relatives.

  It was not your opinion that caused my reaction, but the way in which it was stated. You sated your opinion, and challenged the intelligence of anyone that did not agree ... bad form. Thank you for your clarification and retraction.

  As I said plmkrzy made my point much more eliquenly that I could have, and that is that crimes such as rape, molestation, murder and others of such magnitude are a matter for the police to sort out NOT the congregation or untrained befuddled elders who's only concerns seem to be to keep the IMAGE of the organization clean, not the organization itself.

  Ok, I guess I must be stupid then.

  I don't recall the Catholics having a two witness rule, but I do believe they have a bit of a problem in the same area. Some people seem not to undersatnd that those decrepid old dust farting reptiles in Brooklyn and their cronies are directly responsible for this travesty. If the two witness rule were done away with, do you realy think they would hesitate to twist another bit of scripture so suit their needs?

  Their only desire is to shield themselves and their evil corrupt organization from public reproach, and they will use any means possible. The two witness rule is but ONE effective means of doing so, and others would be found to replace it if it were gotten rid of.

  Until the vile reptiles, their minions, and their organization are done away with the only recourse is to report crime to the police not the elders.

  In my opinion, if there is ONE rule or teaching that is the root of this evil it would be the admonition to "Keep from bringing reproach upon Jehovah's Visible Organization".

  What planet are they from; HELLO!!!

  I'm from the third rock from the sun, where people are allowed to hold all sorts of opinions of their OWN.

  But hey, that's just my non-intelligent ignorant opinion which on this public forum we are ALL entitled to.

  Farkel,

  You are most correct with your assertion that Lake Isabella is a joke of a lake, especially during the droughts of the late '80's and early 90's. But when the water levels were high in the early 80's and the wind came over the dam at at 25-30 MPH cutting back and forth across the lake was an absolute rush. When the small craft advisory flags went up it was time to play for the windsurfers.

  I learned how to windsurf on Lake Isabella back in the early eighties. I was living in Bakersfield at the time and and driving up Hwy 178 in my Mazda RX7 with my board and mast strapped to the top was half the fun

  After my head on collision with WatchTower doctrine I was a staunch atheist until I consumed some psychadelics in the high desert of California.

  I was camping alone in the desert (one of my favorite past times) when I decide I wanted to see what Red Rock Canyon looked like under the influence of 100ug of LSD. I swallowed two gelcaps of what I thought was 50ug each of LSD, but later turned out out to 150ug each. Needless to say instead of the mild visual hallucinations I was expecting I experienced something much more profound.

  What I underwent was something the Native Americans call a spirit quest. I touched the unseen world around me, and experienced the magnificent splendor of creation in it's whole. Unfortunatly I do not posess the words to describe the experience in detail, but sifice it to say it left me a changed person.

  I now firrmly believe we are all part of a greater whole. I am no longer an atheist, because I have touched the face of God. The God I beleive in is not one of the mythological gods of orginized religion, rather the personal God that each of us must come to in our own way. I believe each of us must find our own path to devine, and there is no ONE path.

  Ok, enough of my rambling ... you may now proceed with your regularly scheduled flame wars.

  Computer Network Administrator for a learning center for children with reading problems. I work my butt off all day, but I like the 6:00 AM- 2:30 PM shift, gives me plenty of beach time on nice days.

  there's soo many yummy cheeses.

  one that hasn't been mentioned that i like a lot is pepper jack cheese (yummy!!!

  Dude, forget the peanut butter. Go grab a can of Easy Cheese, a bunch of celery turn on a good game on the TV and go to town. It is my fervent belief the God created celery with Easy Cheese in mind ... too bad it's taken man this long to invent it.
