You know what else.. clearly these women are shown to be in some way responsible for misleading those poor angels! Look at the way the ones tht HAVE been drawn are depicted, it's adam and eve all over again!

in line with ritchie rich's thread where abad points out that the wts has an ongoing editing policy for the littermanure.. they have heavily edited the bound volumes as opposed to the original ragazines.
they even got rid of kingdumb melodies from the song book, because their composer turned away.
ditto the aid book.. has anyone noticed if they remove people from old photos who are no longer approved?

Personally I think it's FASCINATING. Might not be BIG news, but it's another little nail inthe coffin. The WTS always imply they use brothers etc for models and it's clear they dont. Very funny that in the initial pic the girl was naked (or appears to be) in the WT pic she has a modest vest top on... but is clearly more enticing!!! Thanks so much for this thread, I've found it really good.

i'm getting ready to embark on a journey.
a journey into the world of online dating.
one of the criteria has me thinking - age.
think first you need to ask yourself what you want. Personally I'm an older man kind of gal.. I am 36 and have always preferred men who are late 30's at the very youngest! even when I was 18. But my very best friend is 41 and I've never known her date a guy older than 28. But the last one she fell really hard for, but it went wrong when he said he wanted a family and hers is completed. Ended in tears. (hers) I personally think you're as old as you feel (or in your case, as old as the man you feel). However you might find a very young guy (ie25 or less) a bit uninteresting, unstimulating and possibly overexpecting. But dont get hung up on a number, if you have some lovely guys getting in touch and you like what you hear, then go for it. And also dont be put off by horror stories on internet dating. I have met some LOVELY people I've spoken to online and not yet had a bad experience, just use your head and good luck!! And come back and tell us all the gossip!!

so this week on the service meeting there was a part in the km about divine education.
true to form, it was another anti-college, pro-pioneering propaganda piece put out by our buddies in brooklyn.. in the third paragraph, it babbled forth about how colleges and universities don't teach people to overcome racism, tribalism, and something else.
(someone please post scan on dec. 2005 km front page).
I don't believe this exist in Europe but don't quote me on that.
Ooops.. sorry already quoted you! But yes it does, at least in the UK, it was at one point considered to be the really spiritual people that did it, and funnily enough I'm sure those kids had a MUCH higher incidence of going off the rails as soon as they did have any kind of association with the world. I have a very good friend who was home schooled and says it was the worst thing that could have happened and left him totally unprepared for life when he had to get a job and support his family. Yes school is tough, but so is life, and I think school teaches kids all sorts of valuable lessons and surprisingly kids that are well adjusted and loved at home can deal with most of them pretty well. My boys have just finished for the Christmas holidays and for the first time ever stayed at school right up to the last day (previously I would self righteously keep them off because of all the christmas activities) but they had a fab time and even though they still believe the dubs, they really enjoyed the party food etc!!!

new that would catch your attention.. yes its true folks , my wife caught me in bed reading notes that i had written down about raymond franzes book crises of conscience.
she is a staunch follower of the borg and i have now been inactive for about 2 years.. i wrote about 30 pages of notes from this book as the only place i could get my hands on one was from the library.
i couldnt order one as i was so afraid of her finding out i was reading "apostate " material.. she asked me what i was reading and said it was er just some notes i had written .
evergreen, I have been in a very similar situation, I was first thrilled that my husband seemd to be listening to what i was telling him but then massively dissapointed when he went to an elder about the 607 thing and totally swallowed what he had been told. It reinforced to me that people aren't ready til they're ready!! I have had a similar experience with a very close friend who has stopped speaking to me, labelled me an apostate within minutes of our last lunch date, because I said I felt disfellowshipping wasn't right. It's a delicate balance, you may be one of the lucky ones and she may see the light, but unfortunately many here are married to very devout dubs and have to live with the situation. But dont underestimate her loyalty to the collective.. And if you are trying to fade rather than be d'ad with all it's difficulties, then best keep a low profile for a while!
Thinking of you!

i have had a quick look and found no references to this, so - here goes..as in the mag we picked up on sunday.. worldwide % increase over 2004 = 1.3%.
memorial partakers 8524 (compared to 8570 in 2004).
most european and nth american lands show pretty static figs - britain 1% increase, canada 0%, germany 0%, france 1%, usa 0%... but spare a thought for the inhabitants of zambia where 1 person in 90 is a reporting witness, must be hell going down to the local market!
I do have the WT and a scanner, but not sure on the uploading it onto a website so you can view it thing, if you PM me I can email it to you, or if someone can tell me a website I can upload it to (free of course, I'm tight!) then I'm happy to oblige!! But in UK, so going to bed shortly, sorry!

sorry for the constant posts but someone said 300, 000?? That maybe a baptised figure, check out average publishers which is much more telling.
81,675, so again, out of the 247,631 baptised, they lost... nearly 166,000..
Total worldwide hours were down by.. wait for it. 4,032,902
Bible studies down by 23,841
Memorial attendance down by 377,274
Much more telling statistics.

Just noticed something else.. pioneer pubs down from 10,576 to 7,183!!!That surely is almost a third of the pioneers in one year???
And somehow 652 into 121,166 is no where near 1% Thank goodness for rounding up eh!!
And during the year spending on missionaries went up over 11 million... hmmmmm.

I know for a fact the english language congregations are showing no increase in Britain, I personally feel the vast majority of ACTUAL new ones that is not young ones baptised are from the foreign language fields, and most of those because who wouldn't want to move to a new country and be immediately swallowed up by lovely friendly people??? My sister pioneers in the Albanian congregation and they have people flooding in.
I found this statistic interesting.. 652 more AVERAGE pubs, yet we had 2435 baptised... seems like at least 3 times as many people left as joined?? Overall hours were down, as were bible studies and memorial attendance.. something fishy in those numbers doesn't anybody else think!!

.
anyone related to any actors, actresses, writers, politicians etc either alive or dead?.
My fathers sister is a very famous UK author.. Iris Gower. And absolutely loaded, but because of my father being Dfed when I was just a baby, I hardly know her and I'm gutted about it because I think we would have got on, my mum says all she used to do was sit and read books and not clean the house.. now that's my kind of woman..lol.
