what the hell?.
i started reading coc a couple of weeks ago whenever i get a chane to hide out, i'm into chapter 7, great information.. last night i decided to listed to a couple of mp3's i found at freeminds.. if i wasn't sure already, they put the nails in the watchtower's coffin, especially gregerson's expose on his study.
similarly as gregorson, i too set out to try and boost my faith and prove to myself that i had "the truth".

I was first contacted by JWs 45 years ago yesterday. I started associating in 1966, out in the field service in 1967, baptized in 1969. At Bethel from 1973-1976. Voluntarily disassociated in 1980.
My spiritual journey was first among Evangelical Protestants and then I became a Catholic in 1992, a member of the Eastern-Rite Byzantine Catholic Church. Last September, I began attending an Eastern Orthodox parish and am now a member. I'm chronicling some of the journey (still unfinished) at:

Questions for JWs:
"Is there a verse in the Bible where Jesus utters the name 'Jehovah'?"
"Is there a verse in the Bible where Jesus utters the name 'Jehovah' in a prayer?"
"Is the 12,000 from each tribe in Rev. 7:4-8 literal or symbolic?"
follow-up question: "If the 12,000 is symbolic, then is the total number 144,000 (12 tribes of 12,000) literal or symbolic?"
I've never gotten good answers for these from JWs.

Just to add....I don't think there'd be a problem. It's a book you obtained from a second-hand store. Now, if you were to scan it and put it online-- then you'd have trouble on your hands.

If you can still edit your auction you should put in the words "Jehovah's Witnesses" and "Watchtower." Otherwise, ebay search engine searches will not lead many potential buyers to your auction. In fact, if you can put them in your title description that's even better. Perhaps something like:
"Pay Attention Book: Jehovah's Witness Elders' Manual
Published by Watchtower in 1991"

does anyone remember seeing the witness movie called "heritage" ?
it was made in the early 60's and they used to show it once a year at the kh when i was a kid.
(with guilty minds, we were secretly glad to see the projector set up in the middle section of the hall because it meant we didn't have to sit through another long boring talk.. even as a little kid i could see the one sided propaganda basicaly showing how empty "worldly" peoples lives were compared to ours and if you were a witness your family life would be idyllic like on "leave it to beaver".
When I saw it was about 1966. I believe it was shown as part of the Circuit Servant's (as he was called then) visit. I think it was only shown for about a year or so.

I remember the movie. I remember one of the young people featured in the movie had the last name of Zullo and was from Connecticut. She was at Bethel in the mid 70s and had married then.

just saw that the recent video by watchtower comments on this summer's district convention release with a photo of the script from the sunday convention talk has been taken down by you tube based on a copyright complaint by the watchtower society.. see about 2/3 of the way down this article (it gives the now dead link with you tube's explanation that the wt filed the complaint -- click on the embedded video to see):.
