What I need particularly is someone who can access old Tampa City directories from the 70s and 80s for a JW related project. These might be available in other South Florida libraries so you might not have to be in Tampa itself to join in this project.

the infamous cover of that 1984 watchtower (27 years ago) was perhaps the last prediction / prophecy of the watchtower society.
will there be any more or have they finally learned their lesson?

So, I wonder how expansive "notorious wrongdoing" is?
It seems like this sort of published advice could get the WT in some legal trouble. I mean, some businesses are leary about saying anything about a former employee if they're asked because of fear of a lawsuit. Could a clever lawyer supoenae such a letter that someone felt damaged their reputation? There's probably some sort of protection for the WT over this but they shouldn't get away with this, IMO.
Yeah...that's what's in the 75 YB. They never printed in those buildings. I believe initially it was shipping and paper storage. Then they converted the 25 building into executive offices. I once pulled a watchman duty in the old buildings....it was an eerie place! A buddy of mine was working as a regular watchman there when a pipe bomb went off. About 1978 or something like that.
The dining room on top of 30 Columbia Heights was cool, however.

Yes. They bought it in 69, I believe. If you have the WT Library CD-ROM there's a bit about it in the 75 Yearbook, too. If you look at old pics of the Brooklyn Bridge before 69 you'll see "Squibb" signs on the building. In fact, if I remember correctly, you could still read "Squibb" on a smokestack for a couple of years even after the WT bought the building.

some older former bethelites may remember these folks from the cover of a 1984 watchtower:.
this was published during a time while the watchtower society was waging war against the "apostasy" that had started in 1980. one of the issues at stake was the year 1914. these older bethelites were photographed to give tangible proof that the "generation of 1914" would not pass away.
now, nearly 27 years later, they likely have all passed away (along with that generation).. there is a listing of some of the names of these bethelites up at a blog article at this link:.
