i'm just curious to know where my parents register on the scale of strictness...
growing up, i felt absolutely smothered by my parents (mostly my mother).
the things i couldn't do were above and beyond the limitations put on the other young people in our hall.
i had an elder father who beat me for doing what i was supposed to do.... for talkin to other elders kids... for not answering five times per watchtower, even though i put up my hand for every single paragraph! doesn't get much stricter than that i think... and i have thrown up many times in the halls washrooms cuz i was so sick, but still forced to go to the hall....

well, once i was seriously contemplating going back to the meetings, because as my father said; "even if you dont believe it, its a good way of life, thats whats kept me in all this time." i was handed a book the next day by david icke, i thinkit was called the matrix or something like that, stupifd book, except the parts about JWs.... lol, someone was telling me going back was a bad idea!!!

what argument is put forth that women must only wear dresses or skirts to the meetings or in service and are not permitted to wear slacks?
where does it say it's wrong for sisters to wear pants, and how are they convincing women in 2005 to buy into this?
i remember many bitterly cold chicago mornings with frozen legs running to doors and back to the warm car as quickly as possible, wearing a skirt which was ridiculous and inappropriate to the weather conditions.
yeah, im a hundred percent sure it had nothing to do with the fact that all the JW brass are male, and that theyre all horny bastards....

ive learned this a long time ago... my friends made me do it, im sorry mommy, and then cry a tear or two... its all good after that.... isnt it funny how JW moms feel comfortable snooping around their ADULT childrens rooms???? i moved out, invited them over to dinner and still caught my mom snooping in my room!!
